About this deal

The graphene thermal pads of the Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet series can be used excellently as an alternative to thermal pastes from the higher performance segment. CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X | Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VI Hero | GPU: Sapphire Toxic Radeon RX 6900 XT Air Cooled / Bykski WB| RAM: G. But if vertical and back mounted cooler or server this wouldn't be so easy to use unless you added a dab of thermal paste/. I repositioned the water block twice to make sure the KryoSheet was in place correctly BTW, no change to results. I was having to keep 7950x under 140w to keep it cool with MX6 but I'm pulling 200w now with it staying around 85c.

It was running a 30 minute stability test at 5600MHz P-core / 4300MHz E-core with no problems while the old application of IC Diamond paste was in place, and would only see 100C on 1 or 2 cores during that run. The graphene thermal pads of the Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet series can be used as an excellent alternative for thermal compounds from the higher performance segment. However, as a side effect of this complex manufacturing process, the electrical conductivity is also increased and the stability of the KryoSheet pads is affected, so that the pads should only be used according to instructions! In my personal experience these "graphene" products are often just "graphite"—a different form of carbon, or they contain only miniscule amounts of graphene in very small flakes. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. This increased thermal conductivity is based not only on the choice of material, but on the innovative manufacturing process. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the thermal difference between KRYOSHEET and a traditional paste in a GPU application.

After putting the KryoSheet in place, and with those same fans running 100% on a freshly cleaned radiator, I cannot even finish a 10 minute run with the CPU clocked down to 5400MHz P-cores / 4000MHz E-cores. Got PTM on my 6900XT and the 5900X, destroyed the Kryonaut on the GPU, just slightly outperforms it on the CPU but comes with the plus that it will last forever without the need to reapply. You will still have a functional CPU decades later or until Redmond releases another failed OS update.

I watched a video and it seems comparable to the Kryonaut , just 1-2c warmer so I don’t believe it’s going to be better in that term. According to the manufacturer, the pad is made from Graphene, which is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a special pattern. However, as a side effect of this complex manufacturing process, the electrical conductivity is also increased.

I also used TG-PP10 under the Poseidons' larger monoblock heatsink which covers some IC's and the RAM, tested with a thermal probe before/after, and RAM temps are lower as well. It’s definitely not suitable though if you bin CPUs or you are changing coolers as it should be used only 1 time. The problem with Carbonaut was that it's cooling transfer performance wasn't up to the standards of a high quality paste.Thermal transfer (w/mk) of a material changes with the temperature of the material so you can't compare the specs between manufacturers unless you know they were each measured at the same temperature. Yes it indeed can, since it's commonly used on laptop (which are direct die always now) CPU's and various GPU's and APU chips (Steam Deck, ROG Ally, etc).
