About this deal

It was a direct swap, no need to dismantle the cistern just twist out the old body (I had to twist mine CLOCKWISE) and fit the new one. our operatives are all experienced within the industry and are more than happy to help with any questions. somhairle wrote:The cistern top simply lifts off but the attached hose prevents it from being set aside. I might dissassemble my old one to see why it was jamming because outwardly I can't see a problem, but the problem has gone away with a new one.

When you say the big white bit is that the top of the tube closest to me that the blue tube goes in to? Faulty or damaged toilet fill valves can cause a toilet not to function properly and can waste water. It wasn't clear to me if I could simply remove the top half of the old cistern valve, and replace it with this new one so I took the plunge (pun intended).I took off the cistern lid and poked around but couldn't make much sense of the workings - all the valves etc seem to be well hidden inside the plastic fittings and the way to remove them for inspection didn't seem obvious. Two days ago the cistern stopped filling completely and no amount of button-jiggling (bar one or two occasions) seems to bring it back. I've tried to include as many pictures as possible in the hope all this makes sense and hopefully prevents you from having to pay for a plumber to visit. I have tried to remove the this valve but it is so fixed, I am reluctant to force it in case I damage it. A dual flush, cable operated Macdee Dump valve that can fit in existing Macdee brackets as well as fit cisterns with a 1. I usually use flexi hose with an iso valve and put the end of the hose with the washer onto the cistern fitting.

Being a busy sort of chap I resolved to 'look at it later' as it wasn't a source of major inconvenience. I cleaned the guide rails with some tissue and smoothed them down so any limscale residue and gunk was gone. Toilet flush valves are replacement parts for the toilet flush system, inside a toilet cistern that controls tank filling and toilet flushing. regarding fitting I assume I need to turn off the water - do I have to turn off the stopcock under the sink and then drain the attic tank (e. The cable-controlled flush valve can be easily fitted either to the top or the front of the cistern and is suitable for cisterns from 300 mm to 420 mm.
