About this deal

Complying with Noctua’s AAO standard and featuring sophisticated aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A15 has quickly built up a reputation as one of the best 140mm heatsink fans on the market. The Tiburon driver nailed it past the cop, and before he knew it, the Explorer flashed its red and blue lights, and pulled the guy over. The heatsink fins utilize aluminum as its material due to its lightweight properties as juxtaposed to copper -- this is to allow the construction of larger heatsinks without stressing too much on the motherboard due to weight.

The heatpipes are aligned in an aggressive alternate matter to best distribute the heat in the radiating fins. In the summer it can even get up to 85 or so(I leave my house at 80 in the summer often as it gets so hot here). Our Noctua NH-U14S review unit came in a large, brown corrugated cardboard box from Noctua's headquarters in Austria. The downside to this is you are not going to get much, if any, airflow in the area between the contact base and the first cooling fin generated by the intake fan, since it does not extended into this area. In standard configuration, with one fan mounted, it comes in at only 78mm depth – only 7mm longer than the NH-U12S.Please also note that installing an LGA4677 processor and heatsink requires a plastic CPU carrier frame. As I kept to myself in the right lane going a little below the speed limit, a silver unmarked Ford Explorer passed me on the left.

Now the box was pretty darn big, but this is only because they have thrown in a bunch of extra NF-S12A PWM fans that went missing last time for us to play around with. Noctua’s much-acclaimed NT-H1 is a pro-grade TIM solution that provides minimum thermal resistance and outstanding long-term stability.Noctua SecuFirm2 assembly systems has become a synonym for quality, reliability and user-friendliness. For the most part however, it hovers at around 40-50 degrees C in most usage scenarios, and at 28-33 in idle.

It slotted right between the NH-U12S and NH-D14, as it is consistently three degrees Celsius higher than the uber large heatsink. Noctua's choice of colors might not appeal to all, but the quality of each product has kept PC enthusiasts coming back again and again. We offer a complete circular IT solution so as well as supplying the latest technology we also recycle unwanted tech, simplifying IT lifecycle management and helping to minimise the impact the technology industry is having on our environment with our fully accredited recycling facility. Noctua's latest coolers feature their classic U-series single tower CPU coolers which have received more than 400 awards and recommendations from the international press.Based on the proven, 140mm size NH-U14S heatsink and equipped with Noctua’s award-winning, PWM controlled NF-A15 140mm fan, it combines maximum performance and superb acoustics. Noctua generally does not polish the bases of their coolers as it makes no apparent difference on performance, so they opt to not raise the cost of their products even higher for something that would not make an actual difference. Measuring 125mm wide (including fan and fan clips), the coolers stay clear of the top PCIe slot on standard ATX or Micro-ATX motherboards, ensuring best compatibility with SLI and CrossFire setups. For users who want to achieve even better performance by adding a second optional NF-F12 and NF-A15, the fans are available to create a push/pull setup. Integrating standard Intel parts such as the anti-tilt mechanism, Torx® T30 PEEK nuts and the CPU-specific carrier frames (included with boxed retail CPUs and available separately for tray CPUs), the cooler’s mounting system is fully compliant with Intel’s installation guidelines and provides a familiar mounting procedure for experienced LGA4677 users.
