I really loved how unique the story was, then throw in a beautiful slow-burn romance made me more consumed with the story. This enemies to lovers, slow burn, royal fantasy romance is full of chemistry, danger, intrigue, mystery, suspense, secrets, lies, magic and betrayal. It was still a pleasant, easy read and the plot did get more interesting as the book progressed but overall it lacked maturity and depth.This book is a great mixture of modern Urban Contemporary/Traditional Fantasy romance reading, and is a perfect read for fans of the From Blood and Ash and Crescent City series. Also pleasantly for me in this book I did not hate nor roll my eyes at the MCs and their decision-making.
