However when trying to mix smaller quantities, the dough hook and whisk didn't get close enough to the bottom of the bowl, resulting in frustrating unmixed ingredients. We thoroughly tested the 1500 watt motor by making cookie doughs, bread doughs, brownies, sauces and other similar mixtures. You can also fold ingredients into your mixture easily as well as for short bursts to avoid overprocessing. I've also found that the attachments don't quite touch the bottom of the bowl, so if you're planning on using the mixer on small ingredient quantities (such as to whip ½ cup of heavy cream or to beat 2 egg whites) the attachments will miss the ingredients and nothing will happen.To lower the head, depress the head lock button and gently push the head down to the lower locked position. And it also makes equipping different attachments easy too, with all attachments quickly interchanged via a simple twist release mechanism.

the splatter guard has a gap between the plastic and the bowel, which is not good mixing flour or icing sugar!

A bit disappointed really as now I have realized there is nowhere to find anyone to repair it, as it is not well known brand. It was very goood,didn't scrape the sides atall till the cake was done mixing and my cake turned out soft and soo good. Getting something totally free is likely to get a true MoneySaver's heart pumping faster than any cardio workout ever could. It was rather annoying, but after a few months struggling with it, the problem sorted out itself, which was really bizarre, but since everything was ok I kept using it up until recently, it started to release black dust out from where the whisk/beater connects with the machine and eventually has stopped working altogether. Not everyone will want a mixer this big but if you do a lot of baking it's a great piece of kit for the money.
