The plot line was consistent across the board with plenty of spicy scenes in between told from different POVs based on chapters. This book kept me on my toes throughout, the heat, the darkness, the grittiness quickly became my guilty pleasure. But yeah, not sure if this is just an actually shit book, or if I just stumbled too far down the rabbit hole. I can tolerate a book with some pretty gruesome content as long as it fits within the parameters of the story and isn't just done for shock value.

There are subplots that take place in the story that involve other gangs in the city but the main plot is completely centered around the 4 men and Roxy. If you like to explore those themes in conjunction with one another, this might be enjoyable for you.Again, I do not want to kink-shame anyone, but I can't get my head around the logistics of some of these sex scenes - there's just no way some of them are possible without death / serious harm. My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R. they've done these accents in the most insultingly stereotypical way they possibly could, and now it's forever ruined this book for me and it's a shame because this book could have been really really good. Downright dirty and the characters were really well developed however there was a few things which I didn’t like. i've had this on my currently reading since december and i think i just need to face the fact that i have no interest in reading this book.

I can’t tell you how many times I have read a book and said I can’t wait to read book 2, but by the time it comes out I have either forgotten about it or am too busy to read the second book. He shows it in many ways but especially when he is getting information from someone in the basement of their building. I would love to let you know about the story but I cannot as I got to chapter 10 and stopped listening. the characters only got off on abusing one another, and after a scene where one guy came after fucking her with a gun that she then pretended to shoot him through the skull with, i decided to pack it up and save this for the girlies who. However, she has given us some amazing characters, with complex pasts who are villains you’ll likely fall in love with. Being excited at the idea of Gang rape and having absolutely NO remorse or upset about it whatsoever? I like Hollie Jackson for alien romance, but for this one she sounded a bit outside the right age range for Roxy, though she isn’t quite as bad as Cornell Collins. We're told over and over how bad-ass the mafia dudes are and how special the heroine is because she's not like other girls and wears biker girl clothes, and it took me right back to the heydeys of Quizilla in the early 2000s with all of those "pick me" goth girl heroines. What I appreciated about the FMC is how she acknowledged her crappy upbringing and how much her dad did truly care little about her.

i hate this book with every fiber of my being and even though i didn’t finish it i am still going to count it towards my reading challenge because i had to suffer over 200 pages of this dumpster fire. There are better books out that that have the dark romance element without going overboard in such a cheesy and macabre way. Cringe AF and I regret every minute of it I wish I could go back three days to when I didn't know this book existed. I’m so disappointed and I’ve heard many much good reviews about the book; I’m just going to have to start reading it on my kindle.i'm trying to be a little more intentional with the stuff i read and actually evaluating if the content is something i'm interested in or if i'm just picking up a pick because of the hype. Some scenes were not necessary to the story so it would have been better to use that time to bring in something more with the rival gang. Sometimes in life, you meet people worth dying for, and they are usually the same people who are also worth living for. It almost sounds like the actors have tried to do a 'chavvy' British accent but not quite managed it. Her father owed a lot of money to the Vipers, four men everyone knows are trouble, and they own the town.

the bookie is supposed to be the nice one out of the group but he’s the first one who rapes roxy so. the leader is the rude asshole in the fancy suit who acts untouchable but actually has feelings under that mask. I'm English so listening to these voice actors is particularly painful for me, I cannot deal with the terrible voice actors so I can't even finish it, they sound like cockneys in their early 60s and that's being nice, I feel like the voice actors watched Oliver twist for reference of an English accent and were like "yeah, I could do that" no one speaks like this in the UK unless you're a born and bred cockney and even then to sound remotely like this you would have had to have been alive during WW1. I wish that Roxy would have fought them more in the beginning like playing cat and mouse, I feel like she gave in too easy. Normally these guys don't deal with flesh but they have to show the city that they aren't going soft.I noticed a few reviews in which people didn’t know what the plot of the story was so I’m going to make it clear. The leader is Ryder, he wears a suit and runs the Viper corporation, which is a legitimate company worth millions and has a lot of smaller companies underneath. I’ve read the book so thought it would be a good idea to listen as well but they just sound like creepy old cockney men.
