About this deal

And at the surface, the political intrigue, war, inter-family rivalries, and scheming all make each chapter fascinating. As this book is the final in the trilogy, I want to be very careful not to drop any spoilers for anyone who has not yet read the first two books. Though Nahri is finding peace in the rhythms of her old home, she is haunted by the knowledge that the loved ones she left behind and the people who considered her a savior, are at the mercy of a new tyrant.

It’s bloody and devastating, with Deavabad and even the underwater realms torn to pieces, hostilities unveiled and new friendships forced against a back drop of ever shifting desperation, ancient lies, and powerful magic. This setting invited an examination of Nahri’s personal evolution since book one, the ways in which her newfound powers and her found-family have both changed her and helped strengthened her existing identity. I really enjoyed this trilogy despite this last book, first of all because I now know about Jamshid and I’m very sad I can’t read about him again. Empire of Gold ( Korean: 황금의 제국; Hanja: 黃金의 帝國; RR: Hwanggeum-eui Jeguk) is a 2013 South Korean television series starring Go Soo, Lee Yo-won, and Son Hyun-joo.Today I am reviewing one of my most anticipated reads for 2020 and the final installment in the Daevabad trilogy – The Empire of Gold. So much anticipation to see how the series turns out, and it was no different with The Empire of Gold, last book of the Daevabad trilogy.

I also wouldn’t say that Dara became my favorite character, but I was looking forward to his chapters more because something was actually happening in those. The conclusion of this trilogy starts off where it all begins, in an unnamed Egyptian village by the Nile.

Eons he’ll be out there, generations and generations after Nahri and Ali and Muntadhir and Jamsid and Zaynab are gone, alone. If you had asked me to list out my most anticipated books of 2021, The Galaxy, And The Ground Within certainly would have made the list. While Nahri finds peace in the old rhythms and familiar comforts of her human home, she is haunted by the knowledge that the loved ones she left behind and the people who considered her a savior are at the mercy of a new tyrant. On top of all that, we get some big revelations about who she is She is, definitely, a Nahid, but the revelation of the circumstances of her conception is a relief to Nahri and readers alike. You’re just that immersed in the magic of the story unfolding before you on the page and it feels that effortless.
