About this deal

Still, at the beginning and at the end of the day, the reason we purchase earphones will always revolve mostly around the sound. The KS2 don't catch as much detail as, let's say, the TRN V90, but what they do catch - they output it very cleanly and naturally. On separation and layering, it gives an enough gaps on each element but the distinction on frequency layeing with its dynamic characters are rather blurry and inconsistent within its sonic canvas that will affect the envelopment of sound on more complex, multi-instrumental tracks. Previously, KBEAR managed to deliver a superb value proposition with the KS2 that puts a smile upon the budget audiophiles. It has dual drivers per side, include 1Advanced Balanced armature and 10mm composite diaphragm (PU+biological diaphragm) dynamic drivers.

Definitely hat it has a protruding upper mids and some parts of presence treble that gives a gleaming and crisp on it to exhibit more sufficient details and clarity but unfortunately due to that too much boosted on that part, it really give me some annoyances as they are bit jarring and distortion in most cases.

With that said, resolution is pretty nice, driver speed isn’t horrible either which does present a decently resolute replay within a warmer canvas. At times during this review, I did switch out for KBear’s own “KBear 07” tips but spent the majority of my time using the included wide bore tips. Technicalities SoundstageThe stage size of the Storm doesn’t exactly bring upon stadium sized visions but more like a small room. Downsides to the Bass RegionThe issue that I would find with the bass region is its lack of that strident and beefy or jarring type of boom down low for them Bass Bois.

They have a deeper fit with a taper at the base of the nozzle and comes off at an ergonomic angle for a deep fit. Today I’m reviewing the KBEAR KS2 Earphones and will finish off the review by also reviewing the KBEAR S1 Bluetooth cable. I’ll make another quick note; the mid-bass doesn’t really bleed over into the midrange all that much. Note weight lacks that treble punch but I have no issue with the vibrance in this track and what the treble does for the overall tonality and timbre.Bass RegionThe KBear Storm most certainly has an elevated low-end which center around the mid-bass and extends pretty far into the lower midrange. Her voice begins the track mellow and sweet but slowly crescendos into a powerful ballad style when the chorus hits and the KB01 plays it very well. Coherency of its drivers are actually impressive given that they are single DDs which surely excel on this part on how they deliver a faster phasing response. It’s usable but if you have another cable laying around it may make sense to you to swap this one out. However, listening to a voice like Avi Kaplan’s (who is far deeper in pitch) on the track “ First Place I Go“, the KB01 doesn’t quite get you that resonant depth and his voice almost sounds a hair artificial.

Conclusion To conclude my full written review of KBear’s latest budget iem I have to say that this set is a great sign for the storied Chi-fi brand. The Ks1 follows a very similar pattern to the earlier KS2 I reviewed (at least on the exterior) with a 4 part shell made of white resin face and inner shell, clear plastic bi-pin housing, and brass nozzles. Between the 2 sets, the BLON BL-01 is probably a tinge better in sound (if amped), but the fitting issues and the need for a higher powered source would mean I would give my recommendation to the KBEAR KS1, unless you have a good amp on hand. The bass on the KB01 bass region has a bit more sub-bass growl and rumble but it is very close between the two. Billie Jean” by Weezer begins with some huge kick-drums followed by loud snares with a ton of energy. It is also noted that it has a modest sparkle but definitely has an inadequate air on them that I feel has a more subdued harmonics. The depth of layering is not the vastest and the stage is a hair more confined and so naturally imaging and layering take a hit. The KBEAR KS1 is a bassy and warm set, so in general, I found it paired better with perhaps neutral or brighter sources. The treble is a completely non-fatiguing and non-offensive affair and there is a nice uplift across the midrange due to the rise in the treble.

After removing the initial cardboard, the IEM drivers immediately greet you whilst being covered by a clear plastic layer and are enclosed with foam.In the endHonestly folks, between the two sets I find the Cadenza simply more energetic and livelier. Earphone after earphone and advertisement after advertisement get displayed upon many Facebook group walls every week it seems. Between the 20’s (pint sized)If this is all you’re going to read than I’ll quickly complete a pint-sized rundown of the sound across the mix. The KBear logo is on the front of the shell with KBear KS1 and L/R marked in matching gray across the rear surface.
