You had me really tempted with the iRocker, but as I had mentioned, I wanted to get 2 boards from the same company. The thing with the ones you’re talking about is that sometimes you end up with a SUP that isn’t even usable after a couple of times of going out. Unfortunately, there are just way more interesting boards on the market than we have the time to review. Expanding on the bliss, serenity and unique exercise of paddleboarding, SipaBoards will add fun and safety to the mix.
Based of a Racing standard, touring boards often have more volume and more attachment points, they will track better than a universal shape but are less good for yoga, fishing, and aren’t as fun to play around on. Aztron’s compact Nova 10’0 feels a bit like it’s come from the future: it blends double-chamber technology with the ‘LITE’ construction so that it can be folded lengthways before rolling up into the truncated rucksack.Looking at the shape the pointy nose will definitely help cut through the water with ease and it looks absolutely perfect for touring and flat water. The iRocker All Around for example can tackle small waves, it’s reasonably fast, and it’s also wide enough to do yoga. One of your video’s on the XL said the X may be a better option for someone just wanting to go out by themselves or smaller… when I watched the X video, I’m just not sure about the steering and speed of it. As mentioned above, each of these boards have been fully tested in a variety of conditions by a variety of paddlers.
Built with lightweight and highly durable fiberglass material and a shorter adjustable shaft that just grows with the young riders. The pump could be improved but it’s an absolute score you get a carbon fiber blend paddle and high quality center fin. While we don’t have data yet on if these ‘improvements’ are going to be more durable, we have found that the woven boards with welded rails are more rigid in our bend test.As far as materials go, NIXY has created a super light board due to their dual layer FUSIONtec technology. Out of all the boards on our best inflatable paddle board list, this one of our favorite from a looks/design standpoint. Folding the single neoprene cuffs back as recommended makes it very easy to get in/out of the suit even with wet hands. I don´t care that much about weight as I will be driving to the water, so I am leaning more to the Blackfin XL. While this touring SUP can be compared to other touring boards without electric drives, it must be said that the experience is different.
Made from breathable, waterproof, 4 layer microfibre material with dry ankle and wrist seals, a waterproof zip, and an adjustable neck, there’s a lot to this lightweight suit. Both will have some trouble keeping up with hardboards but that’s the issue you have with every inflatable, unfortunately. As expected some water entered around the neck area but this was minimal and it was only the neck of the testers t-shirt that was slightly wet. It doesn’t matter your experience, budget or preference, our best inflatable SUPs for 2024 is an all-inclusive list! There’s quite a difference between a single layer PVC board and one that is quad layered or uses some type of fusion.For your daughter, if you decide to go with a 10′ board, then I would recommend the iRocker 10′ All-Around over the Thurso for her. While the included pump is rather basic, the fantastic roller backpack isn’t, with sturdy roller wheels, a roomy fit, and plenty of organization pockets.
