Description

In our experience, the trigger speeds can vary depending on the size of the animal, and are slower than many high-end trail cameras - though still fast enough to detect reliably. Night recordings are illuminated using no-glow LEDs which are invisible to humans, minimising the risk of detection. It has no-glow LEDs with a flash range of 33ft. In principle a very good idea. When the camera is installed deep in forests for wildlife viewing, the GPS coordinates are absolutely very useful and the camera can be found again later. It also has a time-lapse mode which is great for capturing changes in the environment over a particular season.

A good quality trail camera has any number of applications. Most people use them for hunting. You can set them up on game trails, and get a sense for how and where the animals are moving. The KEEN Ranger PT has a 360° camera that you can control using the free Reolink App. With both pan and tilt functionality you can remotely adjust the camera in response to the environment, ensuring you always get the best view possible. Based on its advanced 4G camera technology, Reolink launched the dedicated trail camera brand KEEN and its first game camera KEEN Ranger PT. Compared to traditional trail cameras, the KEEN one can pan and tilt with a 360°view. Users can control the camera to rotate horizontally and vertically via the phone app from afar. With the rotation feature, farmers, campers, hunters, or wildlife organizations can get a full picture of what is happening. One of the most interesting aspects of the KEEN Ranger PT is the ability to livestream. This is an often requested feature with wildlife cameras, giving you an immediate view of what is happening in front of your camera 24/7. Providing you have an internet connection, you can access a live stream in seconds (and even pan / tilt the camera view). The Reolink KEEN Ranger PT combines durability and reliability, constructed to withstand outdoor conditions and provide long-lasting performance. It is an ideal solution for those seeking a secure and efficient surveillance camera for their outdoor spaces. However, trail cams can also be used for simple observation. If you think there might be bears in your woods, how cool would it be to get a picture?

This is all great news on a trail cam. But what if you want the widest possible field of view? In that case, consider the Reolink Duo. It’s a unique camera with dual 2K lenses that provide ultra-wide video. That said. It requires PoE power, so it’s only suitable for applications where hardwiring is practical. The KEEN Ranger PT will operate indefinitely when the solar panel is connected. However, you can also install it without the solar panel if you want. The 6,000mAh battery will last for around 1-4 weeks, depending on how often it’s triggered. After that, you’ll have to take it down and charge it via USB. This camera is based on the Reolink Go PT Plus and the full product name is Keen Ranger PT. The name alone already reveals in which direction the rabbit is running: Trail camera. It is worth knowing that the Reolink Keen cannot be operated in the WLAN, but only in the mobile network. Thus, it needs its own SIM card. This same technology can also be applied to trail cameras. You can set up a solar camera and leave it running for months or even years. You don’t have to go out and change batteries, or mess around with expensive hardwired installations. To return to the point „human“, I am convinced that the camera can be used incredibly well, due to its camouflage thus for monitoring the property. I made a test setup to be able to change the location on my large property regularly fast. Normally, the camera should be mounted higher to prevent the reflection of IR light from the ground. In my case, the IR light was regularly reflected from the ground at night, which appeared as a bright area in the close-up range. The viewing angle of Reolink Go PT Plus is 95° horizontal, 57° vertical, and 115° diagonal. Please make sure that the monitoring area is well within its field of view.
