Let's not include stuff that no one but you and a couple of other people care about, please There's only 40 games that are going to be included, wasting them on such a title when there's easily 40 truly must-haves for Genesis/Mega Drive is just not a smart or good move. im saying this as though Sega hasn't already made the choice, which it clearly has, but it's more about trying to not encourage this kind of misguided thinking in the future in case they actually listen to people like you with future system lineups--no offence. Really cool they landed both Lunar games though I won't rest easy until they and Popful Mail are confirmed for the Western version of the system and my worst fear of them being replaced by games like Wild Woody and Sewer Shark is put to rest.

Not a bad list in either territory, with a strong showing from Capcom, although we'll definitely be looking into importing a six-button pad from Japan for Street Fighter. Spinball is unlikely to be the Sonic game the majority of western fans were hoping for, but there are 10 more games to come in the final announcement scheduled for June, so watch this space. If this gets a Western release (it will not) it would be the first localized release of Shinning Force CD, one of the best tactics games ever made. I really hope (foolishly) that this game will finally make it's way West (again, it will not) so that everyone gets a chance to play it (they won't). Why would you have to make a choice between this or the Mega SG? They are both completely different products offering different things. I believe a couple of his localizations (Parasol Stars and Cadash) did make it onto the TurboGrafx Mini.

River3636 The English version is challenging because Victor Ireland produced it. That man claims raising the difficulty on everything he published was a necessary business strategy. Hopefully Castlevania: Bloodlines is included in the American game line-up as well. Toejam and Earl and Contra: Hard Corps would be extremely welcome, too.

Oh crap... this is the first mini console that I've seen the games list for and thought "I MUST PLAY THOSE GAMES (again)". I don't know if I'm more surprised by the announcement or my reaction. I’ve heard the Mega Drive wasn’t that popular in Japan with the Super Famicom having vastly dominated that market. (Edit about 4 million vs 17 million units sold) Does anyone know how the Mega Drive is currently viewed in Japan? Fizza You're forgetting the Saturn I think we should be happy that they're actually making steps into the future by adding Sega CD.Sega has now announced the system will launch worldwide on 19th September. It will be priced at 6,980 yen or 8,980 yen if you want two of the USB-based controllers. The device will include all the necessary cables and a total of 40 titles, with the first 10 for Japan now confirmed (thanks Gematsu). aaronsullivan Well, if power cables are the problem, just get a bigger mains adapter hub. And all of the Minis can also be plugged into the TV directly, if you have USB ports on there, so that problem is quite easy to solve. Now that is a stone cold amazing line up of games. Plenty of all time classics, a good handful of lesser known but still great games and a healthy dose of those rare/expensive collectors items that most mortals will never get to own. I don't know what to think about this just yet. We need more details. So far it looks like they are going the route of having this one stand out on its own with unique games not on the original model, but honestly, I wish they would just put everything on the first model on here too, but expand the list with more, unique titles. Why should I need one Genesis and set of controllers connected to my TV for Sonic 1&2 and a bunch of spin-offs and another Genesis for Sonic CD and probably others, for example? HDMI ports and physical space aren't exactly unlimited, and convenience sharply declines as those two resources become exhausted.
