This is where it is important to know about the low FODMAP serve size for each food. The good news is that it is entirely possible to enjoy corn on the low FODMAP diet. The main issue is with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), which is high FODMAP. HFCS is corn syrup that has been further processed. 1 This processing decreases the amount of glucose (the non-FODMAP sugar) but increases the amount of fructose, which is a FODMAP sugar. 1 Fructose is a type of monosaccharide sugar which is what the ‘M’ in FODMAP stands for. You should only eat portions of sweet corn and corn products which are low in FODMAPs during the elimination phase.Canned baby corn is low FODMAP as it contains only trace amounts of FODMAPs.
