RCA Records and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release the definitive 50th anniversary edition of Elvis Presley's monumental Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite record-setting global concert telecast/double live album on Friday, August 11. The mixing of the songs is nigh on perfect – the bass and its use of the LFE channel is tight and deep, but fast and never resorts to booming or overt spot blasts of LFE. All sounds are fantastic and nuanced here with the natural reverb at big studio halls or soundstages.

Elvis DVD and Blu-ray release details released - Digital Spy

Aside from the complicated dynamic between Presley (Butler) and Parker, Elvis explores the rock legend’s rise from poverty to unprecedented stardom “against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. We've entered the 70s now and Elvis has gained quite a bit of weight and just doesn't dance like he did in 'Jailhouse Rock. Others however may not quite so quick to overlook these… and of course, there simply isn’t enough room for the myriad of other characters in Presley’s life to make much of a mark, including Richard Roxburgh’s’ father and Olivia De Jonge’s Priscilla. Detail is quite low, but even with it being an old film and being shot on 16mm, it has been cleaned up so there is nigh a speck that pops up.

The Deluxe Edition of the album contains four bonus tracks (new symphonic versions of material from Elvis’ Peace In The Valley EP).

Elvis 4K Blu-ray Review | AVForums

Taking all that into account, this is still a great sounding Blu-ray, and the first one of the collection that accurately depicts what the music and vocals should sound like in comparison to Elvis' lips and how they're moving. Elvis on Tour' features a plethora of different songs as Elvis tours the country performing show after show.On From Elvis In Nashville, Presley’s studio tracks from the 1970 marathon sessions are presented in pristine audio, newly mixed by acclaimed engineer Matt Ross-Spring (John Prine, Jason Isbell) without the added overdubs or orchestration appearing on earlier releases. None of this rare 1973-74 film is marred by a disruptive logo, which would detract from your viewing pleasure. This ultimately led to his turmoil in marriage, his addiction to drugs, and lastly his untimely, sad death.
