Well it is more extreme. (at least in the opening and first hour or two, sure it is!) however apart from the definite addition of more aggressive spicing (cumin is apparent) for me it has a disgusting hairspray/ammonia bitterness and this thing I can't put my finger on about modern concoctions, which makes them deeper, harder more long lasting but don't improve them and in some cases completely ruin the opening and take a long time to smooth out. This unfortunately is one of those cases. However, when dried down is very much like the original except for a deeper Amber/ tobacco, and a creamy vanilla base especially observable in the very late stages of the drydown. This I have to admit is kinda lovely.

If you like Givenchy - Gentleman EDP and Armani - Code (EDT), Paco Rabanne - One Million EDT (I've never tried any flankers), or want a far better made version of Paco Rabanne - Pure XS. Or are actually a fan of Dior Sauvage Elixir or Lattafa Asad (Lion) this is for you. I’m curious to see what else Viktor&Rolf come up with and will certainly keep them on my radar in the fragrance world. So I've been looking for a new fragrance over the last few weeks. Have tried several. Was close to buying 1 Million Parfum and Dylan Blue, but in the end wasn't fully convinced by either. This olfactory masterpiece is a must-have addition to any respectable perfume collection, particularly as a permanent fixture for the winter months. Spicebomb Extreme possesses a remarkable longevity and projection, making it perfect for those special social occasions like dance parties, weddings, or nights out at the disco. It leaves an unforgettable signature that stands out in a crowd and offers a level of quality typically associated with niche fragrances but at a more accessible designer price point. While it may be on the expensive side, the quality of the juice and the fact that you only need a small amount justify its price tag. Viktor & Rolf should be considered "niche" in technical terms because all they do as a brand is produce fragrances. Kudos to them for being an approachable niche brand. For many people who are not fragrance enthusiasts, niche brands are a hill that is a steep climb. Great flanker to the original spicebomb. This one to me smells a bit less sweet on the drydown than the Extreme version. Drydown is still quite similar to my nose. Spicy warm cinnamon which is great for winter/fall.

Not gonna lie I did not like this fragrance when I initially sprayed it on paper. I did spray a little on my hand & later I kept getting allured by this intoxicating fragrance!! Sillage: Draw, although great projection until the mids neither of these frag are beast mode I found that sillage in both to be reasonably close and better than most. Price value: 5/5. I believe the price I paid for this fragrance was great. Definitely well worth my money spent. I paid seventy dollars for 1.7 fluid ounces for this fragrance. Every time I wanted to like it, it just smelled too much like bubblegum for me. It's pleasant, I like the smell OF it, I just want to smell LIKE it...if that makes sense. I would prefer to eat this smell rather than wear it lol..Soft elegant cinnamon and sweet tobacco. Delicious cinnamon roll with glaze. And a sweet twist of something that makes me think of purple bubble gum or a cherry lollipop (in a sophistcated way - not childish or cheap). Sillage seems to be moderate, and not as strong seeming to me as a lot of folks experience. Anecdotally, I passed my wife in the kitchen and she said "Oh that smells nice!" but she was probably less than 3ft away from me. Your mileage may vary. If you didn’t like the original night vision.. don’t worry try this one out, it’s a complete different vibe. This comes very close to some perfumes, I find designers very very boring these days since they are very similar to each other, although this one is the best in his kind and with his kind I mean: I just recently traded something else for this after testing it for a few months, and I absolutely love this stuff. I think there is something in the opening that I'm missing out on though (something I'm noseblind to), because I spray it on and for the first 5 minutes it's very weak, and then it gradually gets stronger thereafter.

The name Spicebomb Extreme couldn't be more appropriate, this is indeed an EXTREME SPICE BOMB. The opening is warm, spicy, and sweet. Every single note in the breakdown is noticeable, but the strongest are the vanilla, cinnamon, and whiskey. The scent is pretty linear, so the dry down is pretty similar to the opening. The tobacco is a little bit stronger, but it's still predominantly vanilla, cinnamon, and whiskey. Although the whiskey note is noticeable throughout, I wouldn't consider this a boozy fragrance as the whiskey doesn't dominate any of the other notes. I chose this fragrance after smelling countless colognes in my lifetime and never really being keen on anything, as most of the time they all sort of start smelling the same. This one was different- it almost has this cinnamon - vanilla undertone that really is unique, seductive, and rich. I also have to commend Viktor & Rolf on their product design- it’s a beautiful bottle.According to most reviewers, Spicebomb Extreme lasts much longer than the original Spicebomb. In reality, the longevity is VERY weak. I applied this on my skin and it disappeared in under two hours. The original Spicebomb lasts over twelve hours and the sillage is much better. What is all the hate about? Its very clear to me that all the haters of the original voted on this scent before they actually smelled it. There is no sensible explanation for the above ratios on this scent. The only way you don't like this is if it doesn't work with your skin chemistry, your are not into spicey frags or certain notes which are highlighted in this or you simply have bad taste. lol. Initial projection is very strong, enough to fill a room. Sillage is very strong as well, leaving a strong and very noticeable scent trail. Around 4 hours later, projection was still about arms length and there was still a nice scent trail. Around the 6-7 hour mark is where I noticed the projection and sillage was gone, and it was only clinging on as a skin scent. The scent stayed on my skin about 12 hours, making it certified eternal. People complaining about "reformulations" or any of that nonsense need to go play outside or buy something else. Though this is my first bottle it runs circles around anything else I bought recently. Wearing this for about 2 weeks on again off again I still get a solid 8-12 hours. Even with 2 or 3 sprays with the grenade pin off. Anyone who is complaining needs to not wear this in like 6 months to a year to forget what this smells like. If your bottle is close to empty try something else by Viktor And Rolf as clearly aren't one hit wonders. I just truly think people are not appreciating what a great fragrance this is. One of the best offerings in 2015 by a designer house without question. If Tom Ford put this in bottles, the love rating would be far greater than its likes or dislikes. Or probably not, as some might say he did this already...lol. This scent wowed me and the original didn't. The original is a boy. This Extreme Flanker is that boy as a man.

This is freaking delicious. It opens with a very peppery, piney, aromatic, arid blast of warmth. I love it, it's a soft sandstorm of various elements. I can distinguish nutmeg clearly though (one of my favorite notes, I'm always on alert for it).

Eau de Toilette

No real love and care has gone into making this. They've literally thought, right it's winter let's make something ultra sweet and strong and send it out for unsuspecting victims to buy. When I have worn it, about a dozen times I'd say, I've not had one comment about it, good or bad. I usually get one no matter what I'm wearing whether it's at work, with my family, at the pub with the lads, or out on a date, someone always says something. With this, not a sausage, but perhaps everyone is so used to smelling it now I don't know. I believe this perfume could have been a million times better if they avoided the citrusy accords, used natural cinnamon, and had dialed down on the sweetness.
