Do they only manufacture the tool for a short time before selling them in lidls stores across the UK for a week or so before discontinuing the item? Surely this is a waste, they have all the equipment and machinery to make that tool then put it to rest for 11 months before there next promotion to sell that tool in a year or so time. I assume that's what they do because when the promotion is over, trying to ask lidl if they could get just one more is impossible and they look at you weird as if you are asking if lidls offers time travel! I think they had Cordless jigsaw a couple of weeks ago for just 40pounds... That included battery+charger as well. Most of the parkside tools are ok-ish however their cordless Dremel like tool is total rubbish, the spindle bearings went after a few goes on light hobby work the same happened to my neighbour when he got one. Insane difference... however I like to do a lot of DIY /building/woodworking so I can justify spending more to get much nicer tools even if they cost 3-4x more.

Not really. The Makita tool is more robust and will last longer in a trade or heavy DIY environment (e.g. a self-build). It will also be possible to get spares 5 or 10 years down the line. Yer pays yer money.... My dad bought one of those dremel tools as well- It was terrible, after that he has hardly ever bought anything from lidl tools due to sour taste in mouth after that dremel.
