The TomaHawk’s biggest attribute is its ability to haul all sorts of bikes, from road bikes to 20in kids’ bikes, and fat bikes to 29ers. You simply drape the pad over the tailgate and fasten the traps to secure it in place. When you want to transport bikes, you place them over the tailgate and use the velcro cradle system which wraps around the bikes’ frames to keep them secured in transit. It’s well made and exceptionally easy to use, and is very sturdy even on the bumpiest of roads – the bikes barely move and are secured very well.
