Both window kits attach to the window adaptor and duct (also included) enabling any hot air to be expelled outside and therefore cooling the room more efficiently. Although very good at cooling the room, we went from around 28c to 20c in about an hour and a half, the flexible hose is nothing short of absolute rubbish. I have had it three days now and it definitely works all be it a bit noisy and we are only using it at night even though it was one of the more energy efficient units I could find. Also with water air coolers they only get to a certain point where they can't actually cool the air anymore they just add to the humidity. The MeacoCool 9000BTU can be used in the office or home to provide personal cooling in rooms between 16-26m². Having said all that, when it was 36C outside recently, I set it to 23C and it kept my lounge at 23C.
