Wouldn’t rave about it like others have but I’m guessing that they must be die hard Susan Lewis Fans. It takes a big turn in the 2nd half of the book, but turns out that some people DID see it coming because I figured out the twist early :) I liked the twist and the 2nd half of the book better than the first half, but I just wasn’t that surprised by anything that happened and some of it seemed pretty unrealistic. I did not see the ending coming although I had picked up hints that something was not quite right where one character was concerned. And as we continue to cover the economic recovery, this will continue to be a constant theme here: beating back against the " no one saw it coming" conventional wisdom by honoring those that did get it right, and shining a light on those who, even now, might be getting it wrong.

It centers on Hanna, who seemingly has it all, but it turns out there are some cracks in her perfect life. The book is well-written and well-plotted, I just thought the main twist was really obvious and very similar to other books I’ve read recently. The big twist, the big reveal I felt was obvious from very early in the story, partly cuz I've read that plot twist in several other books and partly cuz the "clues" were very obvious from the get-to.You are hooked on discovering everything the secrets that are holding and ultimately who is responsible for this unforseen tragedy. Don’t miss this utterly gripping and emotional thriller from Sunday Times bestselling author Susan Lewis! I found it soooo hard to get into the first half of the book had me so mad almost to the middle of the book that I either wanted to scream or throw it at the mirror in the bathroom, that being the only safe mirror because it can shatter into the basin! The characters are well written and the interplay feels genuine on the whole (wasn't sure about the Hugo subplot as he was so vile! As usual in my reviews, I will not rehash the publisher's synopsis, but instead recommend that you read this for yourself!
