Sound (8/10): There is no denying that the P5 is a brilliant portable headphone from a usability standpoint, but it also holds its own in sound quality against the other consumer-oriented sets in this lineup.They won't be the most pleasant headphones for long listening sessions, but they're comfortable enough to not cause any pain or soreness.

In general, on-ear fitment could be a hit or a miss, and as I mentioned before – don’t expect super isolation. The P5 is not veiled-sounding in the strictest sense but it really doesn’t portray intimacy as well as the HD25 or MS400 can, which I feel has more to do with the way the soundstage works (more on that later).When playing tracks such as "Closer" by Chainsmokers or "Only Girl" by Rihanna, bass is very well pronounced with again that fast attack and deep punch, which will resonate deep down to your core with zero distortion lol. It's a shame that headphones this expensive don't come with a dedicated wall plug; you'll have to use your computer or your own USB wall charger. Compact and light, the P5s are perfect for portable use – they do feel a little snug at first, but they will loosen up in time.
