It's a bittersweet feeling to know it'll be the last we'll see these couples as main characters, but I'm also super excited to read the spin off of the 2nd gen! I truly hope it'll be just as good. <33 I was sorry for Serafina. My heart totally broke when I heard everyone talk about the children. I was like: "Take them and run!" Now their chapter is on the rise again, but for their ultimate triumph they need to destroy the Vitiello empire. And what better way to do it than to steal the spoilt Vitiello princess and break her piece by piece until her father begs for mercy. Until then, I’m done with us.” Overall, I really enjoyed this book, but it is definitely not one of my favorites in the series. I am excited for the books to come though!

I really hope you guys love this book because CR did such an amazing job with Dante’s beginning and how he evolved through the years as Capo, husband and father.

By the end of it, the family dynamic was cute, i'll give her that. But it doesn't make up for the extremely poor and dissapointing quality of this novella. So Dante thought about Carla at 65% “...I’d never forget her and what had happened...” dude its been years you have 2 kids with Val lets forget her!!I am giving this book four and a half stars because I thought the writing was FABULOUS, but this book seemed to me to mostly further the plotlines of other characters and the series as a whole, rather than much of Val and Dante's relationship. Y sí llegamos a ese momento cuando le dices las ansiadas palabras y yo gracias puedo morir en paz, no quiero morir es sólo un dicho. Let's be honest here, Dante and Valentina were never among my favorites. To be honest I didn't even like them very much, even though I really like how the story in Bound by Duty went by Dante and Val just never really catch my love. But BBTP changed my mind I do love them now! Being able to take a peak inside Dante's head was crucial to me, to be able to understand him and understand the reason to a lot of things in Bound by Duty! I loved the whole book and I don't want to give spoilers and its so hard to write this review without letting any slip by. Overall, it was okay I expected much more. As far as characters go Dante and Val are great but the mentioning of his deceased wife was way too much and it would have been nice to see more Dante and Val. I guess I’m just glad we got the “I love you” and this wasn’t a book about Luca and Aria 😄 I’m tired of those two. Val was so sweet, kind, and loving. She was been a pawn in the mob world for so long, it was tragic. She had no idea how do be anything else. So her acceptance of a loveless union made complete sense to me.

I'll happily avoid putting myself through a second dose of that toxic duo. I find it interesting that , up until the birth of Beatrice, each capo had just a son and a daughter. I don't remember if Nevio or Greta is older, but if Greta is older, they also each have an older daughter and a younger son. I am not sure if this means anything, but it is intriguing. I was reading another book but I had to put it on hold bcz of not that the book (Dark Notes) is less interesting because this one literally pulled me in. The plot is really interesting as Valentina’s secrets from her former marriage are revealed and she is allowed to work in one of the family owned casinos. She also takes her best friend position to Bibi to the max… go girls!
