Only available as part of the Revisitations 2 box set in Regions 2 and 4. Only available individually in Region 1. The new interview with Colin Baker is lovely and often very moving. So good to hear his experience on the show in the context of his wider career and his life. Matthew Sweet is a wonderful interviewer. Equally the interview with Michael Grade is really interesting, and it is hard not to disagree with some of his views on the series as it was at the time. Having said that, the way the cancellation was handled was disingenuous and unprofessional to say the least.

Following complaints from buyers, 2|entertain started to produce two different masters for new BD releases - one for the US/Region A, and one for UK/Region B. The Region B releases persevered the original 1080i50 broadcast, while Region A releases continued to use standards converted 1080i60. Released as Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 9 in Region B. Released as Doctor Who – Jon Pertwee: Complete Season Three in Region A. Released as Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 18 in Region B. Released as Doctor Who – Tom Baker: Complete Season Seven in Region A.

Missed Doctor Who The Collection Sets? Standard Blu-ray Releases Are On Their Way

In Conversation: two exclusive insightful feature-length interviews, with William Russell and Maureen O’Brien.

On the dark side, you’ve got the viking raiding party that assaults and traumatises a woman in the village. Spooner always gives you light moments, but is careful to balance them out with harsh reality. You’ve got to admire the honesty there. The circumstances under which the Doctor leaves his granddaughter behind creates one of the most poignant endings for a companion ever. Later companions under different producers didn’t fare nearly as well. Faction Paradox's Worlds of the Spiral Politic [ ] Main article: Worlds of the Spiral Politic (series) Title https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/455183/doctor-who-the-phaser-aliens-and-other-stories-by-bbc/9781529905014Uniquely, The Infinite Quest and Dreamland both saw their first release on BD as part of a German double-feature in February 2019. The stories were later made available the same year as a bonus disc in the Complete Specials Steelbook in the UK, and The Complete David Tennant Collection in the US. I’m not overly knowledge on the visual effects work on Classic-Who, but I’m certain that on many of the dvd releases, having watched them all 2 years ago, you would definitely get static interlaced lines – both horizontally and vertically, and some of the very early dvd releases (The Two Doctors, Remembrance of the Daleks) were either very blurry/grainy, or frame ghost-y when it came to visual effects. Looking at the Blu Ray of S22, the image is much crisper, and it’s exposed very fine vertical lines, notably the very first Tardis scene with The Second Doctor and Jamie. Released as Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 22 in Region B. Released as Doctor Who – Colin Baker: Complete Season One in Region A. At the time, I enjoyed the dark humour and quite contemporaneous themes of ‘Vengeance on Varos’ and ‘Revelation of the Daleks’, but the overall series felt more and more self-indulgent and frequently gratuitously nasty and I didn’t enjoy the rather theatrical persona of the Sixth Doctor so much. The behind the scenes ructions are almost more compelling than the series itself! Reply An additional promotional DVD was released in DWM 544 on 17 October 2019 as part of the magazine's 40th anniversary, though it is not part of the official 'The Collection' boxset run.

Only available as part of the Mannequin Mania box set in Regions 2 and 4. Only available individually in Region 1.

Reviewed: Doctor Who The Collection — Season 2

Only available as part of The Legacy Box set (Regions 2 and 4). Released with the same materials in the box set as Shada in Region 1. As for the story itself — oh, how I wish those episodes would be recovered. Once again, Doctor Who meets masterpiece theater. Intense drama, and plenty of action. The Doctor battles brigands with his sword, right alongside Ian. That Power Nap again! A Steelbook version of the Complete Specials (BBCBD0470) was released in 2019, with a bonus disc containing animated stories The Infinite Quest and Dreamland. This set also includes hours of special features previously released on DVD including documentaries, featurettes, audio commentaries, The Five Doctors: Special Edition, and more. Only made available in the UK as a Steelbook, and includes 2 disc DVD version. Australian release is in a standard case, which not include the DVDs.

Including Australian interviews with Peter Davison and Janet Fielding shot during production of this season. Maynard Banks and an untitled story by Hunter O'Connell. [64] - TBA Let's Go Dutch!: The TARDIS crew travel to Amsterdam to revisit locations and reminisce about Season 20 and their time on the programmeIn Italy, a BD version of The Complete David Tennant Years (titled Gli Anni Di David Tennant) was released in 2016. An equivalent set would not be released in the US until three years later in 2019. WHEN JANET MET MARTIN: Janet Fielding chats to Martin Clunes, 40 years on from his appearance in Snakedance Episode titles: “The Lion”, “The Knight of Jaffa” (missing) , “Wheel of Fortune”, “The Warlords” (missing). The release date for Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 2 Blu-ray, which consists of 37 episodes and many special features has not yet been announced. The reason they did a road trip to Germany was because they were filming them travelling to a convention in kessell Germany which Peter Janet and Sarah were all attending together (all 3 at the same convention at the same time is said not to happen very often). On the plus side doing this gave them the idea of doing a similar one travelling to Amsterdam.
