Roland grants you the following non-exclusive rights to use the SOFTWARE in accordance with the terms of this License Agreement. Never apply this update data to any product other than the TR-6S. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products. Kit, instrument, and pattern reload is now possible with a two-button press, similar to the Reload function on the Elektron kit. Simply press Utility + Kit, Instrument, or Pattern Select to revert to the saved version of the item. The sound of today's music owes a lot to the classic step-sequencer—particularly the “TR-REC” variety found in early Roland drum machines. The TR-6S employs the same tried-and-true approach, enhanced with realtime recording and modern features like sub-steps for ratcheted parts and motion recording for rhythms that move. The TR-6S features the ability to set one of the eight Variations as a Fill Pattern which can be triggered manually or can be set to go off every 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 measures. However, editing these Fill Patterns can be a bit confusing using the standard technique, and many users seem to think they aren’t editable at all.

We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document. At the initial powerup following an update, the message "Updating Panel" sometimes appears on the display.Drive is the least extreme of all the choices, and comes with a two-band EQ that is both pre- and post-gain. This effect works well on nearly all of the instruments. Crusher, as you’d expect is really a bitcrusher and has a built-in filter. This one works great on hi-hats and other high frequency material. Next, Saturator is slightly less extreme than the Drive effect and has even more control. This is a legal agreement between you (an individual or a corporation) and Roland Corporation (herein referred to as "Roland") regarding the usage of this software product (herein referred to as "SOFTWARE"). b) You shall not loan, rent, lease, sublicense or transfer the SOFTWARE, either in whole or in part, to any third party. But you may permanently transfer the SOFTWARE and accompanying printed materials provided you retain no copies of the Software and recipient agrees to the terms of this License Agreement. If the SOFTWARE has been updated or upgraded, any transfer of the SOFTWARE must include the most recent update and all prior versions. Roland can not reply to inquiries regarding this system software updater. Please read the instructions completely, and please note that you should use the SOFTWARE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Unauthorized copying, uploading to another network, distributing, modifying and/or attaching this software to other media or any other sales item is expressly forbidden. This can vary depending on the specifications of the batteries, capacity of the batteries, and the conditions of use.

Never turn off the TR-6S's power while the update is in progress. Otherwise the system program or the TR-6S itself may be destroyed.

Please install the extracted system program file into your TR-6S according to the following procedure. c) If this SOFTWARE contains multiple templates of media (such as floppy disks and CD-ROM) and these media contain the same software, you may use only the one form of media that is appropriate for your computer. You shall not use the remaining form(s) of media on another computer. Roland reserves the right to terminate this License Agreement if you fail to comply with any of the terms of this License Agreement. Upon such termination, you shall immediately stop using the SOFTWARE.There’s a Sensitivity threshold setting that’s worth experimenting with, according to what sounds you’re using. And finally, there’s a Comp + Drive setting, which combines compression and overdrive into one effect. 10. Get a Reload of this If you are using a SD card to perform the update, carry out the procedure while no USB cable is connected to the TR-6S. Press the [ UTILITY ] button and use the cursor buttons to select "Factory Reset," then press [ VALUE ] knob. Executing the procedure in "Returning to the Factory Settings (FACTORY RESET)" causes the tone data/settings in the TR-6S to be lost.

Roland makes no warranty, either expressed or implied, with respect to any of the software, including, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. a) Any provision of this Agreement which is prohibited or unenforceable in any jurisdiction shall be ineffective to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without affecting, impairing or invalidating the remaining provisions hereof.

Owner’s Manuals

a) You may only use the SOFTWARE on a specific single computer at one time. Use of the SOFTWARE shall include loading the SOFTWARE into temporary memory (i.e., RAM) or installing the SOFTWARE into storage media (i.e., hard disk) of the computer on which you will use the SOFTWARE. If "Updating Panel" appears, wait until the message "Completed" appears on the display, then reset the power again. The TR-6S is a also a high-quality USB audio/MIDI interface, perfect for mobile or minimal production setups. And it fits in even the most space-starved studios or live rigs, so you can turn life into music whenever inspiration strikes. Please verify the version number "1.51" with the procedure described in "How to tell the version" part of this document. d) You may not use the Software from multiple locations of a multi-user or networked system at any time.
