The 3 inch LCD doesn't have a high resolution, so it's hard to get a good idea of how your pictures have turned out until you view them on your computer. There is also a bright Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) which makes it easier to compose your pictures in low-light or when using the zoom. The EVF is activated using a dedicated button. Estimated delivery times are provided to us by the respective delivery companies. We pass this information onto you, the customer. If you use the Fuji remember to tell it which type of battery (nicad or nimh) you are using in it’s settings as it improves performance. Practice doesn’t make perfect, perfect practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes improvements and improvements lead to excellence!'Just practice! You might get it to go with the AV cable and a capture card for a computer. Unfortunately, skimming the manual left me with the impression that it won't work. I could be wrong about that, so you might read it more thoroughly. Unless someone else has tried it, you'll have to buy the converter/capture card to know if it works.

For controlling the amount of light entering the lens, the Fujifilm FinePix S2980 has a minimum aperture number of 6.4 and a maximum aperture number of 3.1. For those unsure of just what a bridge camera is, it’s a digital camera that bridges the gap between compact cameras and digital SLR’s by giving you more of the features you find on a high end D-SLR but at a much more affordable price. The best way to store a lithium-ion battery is at a temperature between 5 and 45 degrees Celcius. It's also a good idea make sure the battery is about 67% charged before it is stored away. Home > Audio, TV & Photo > Digital Cameras > Fujifilm Digital Cameras > Fujifilm FinePix S2980 Digital Camera Manual Fujifilm FinePix S2980 Digital CameraIt seems the same but I can’t confirm that unfortunately. For macro shots the S2995 should be better as it has a better macro depth of 2 cm compared to the Samsungs 5 cm, meaning you can get a closer view of what you want to view.

It’s good because the higher rated energizer nimh rechargeables (2650 mah) are perfect, long lasting and if you’re worried you can also keep a spare set with you in case as I do but have never needed the spares yet. There are a wide range of shooting modes, SR Auto scene recognition which automatically adjusts the camera settings for the scene, as well as semi-automatic and manual modes for those who are more confident in changing some of the more advanced settings. Other features include intelligent face detection, red-eye removal, blink detection and smile &shoot mode. Since I’m a Mac user, I have a different set of options. It turns out that Preview does what I need it to do with minimal fuss. Onward! The first image above shows how the camera performs in low light, with our studio lights turned down as low as they'd go. The second picture is a further example using the digital zoom. The last two are examples of a couple of the scene modes available - beach and text. The Fujifilm FinePix S2980 features an 18x optical zoom and a 6.7x digital zoom, with a combined zoom of 120.6x. Its minimum focal length (35mm film equivalent) is 28mm, with a maximum focal length (35mm film equivalent) of 504mm. The minimum aperture number is 6.4, while the maximum aperture number is 3.1. Lens Performance - Detail isn't bad in the centre of the images, but they are very soft in the corners. This applies when shooting at either end of the lens. Purple fringing is evident, but is fairly well controlled. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 2cm, allowing you to get close for a decent macro shot. The camera runs on four AAbatteries, the alkaline ones provided with the camera have a CIPA rating of 300 shots and we managed over 400 during testing and the batteries were still alive. You could invest in Ni-MH rechargeable batteries with a CIPA rating of 500 shots or Lithium batteries which have a rating of 700 shots. My only criticism of the panorama mode is that while being so easy to use it doesn’t offer any settings such as setting the level of zoom or how many photographs to stitch together. If you want to zoom in a little, perhaps to get a better view of a distant object, and then while zoomed in to take a panoramic shot you can’t. Nor can you stitch together more than three shots. There is a small button on the left side of the camera next to the flash lamp which you need to push in to make the flash pop up ready for use.
