Meaco claims that Zambezi has six"world firsts" for a desiccant dehumidifier. These include a digital display, which is usually only found on refrigerant models, and a sterilising ioniser. The Zambezi also includes Meaco's Energy Saving Laundry+, for drying clothes fast, and a daily timer. We also think it could do with a bigger water tank. At 1.7 litre, it's one of the smallest tanks we've reviewed, meaning it needs to be emptied regularly.

There are, however, rechargeable dehumidifiers. These are typically non-electric and are best suited for wardrobes, drawers or cabinets. Once the material has been saturated, you can "recharge" them by plugging in the machine for a short period. This resets the crystals and allows them to soak up more moisture. A good example is the Pro Breeze Mini Dehumidifier. Which model do you recommend as an industrial dehumidifier? An interesting feature of this Delonghi dehumidifier is the double filtration system. It combines an allergen filter with a regular dust filter, which helps to improve the air quality in your home. We don't think it's a solution to allergies, but it could certainly help relieve symptoms in some situations.

Summit

While it's not the quietest model on the market, its noise output on lower settings is acceptable if you're in the same room. It's also not great at removing water from the air of cooler environments. We wouldn't recommend it for garages or conservatories.

It does, however, include an automatic mode that switches off the machine when the ambient humidity and temperature are at acceptable levels. This is a great time saver and can also reduce your energy bills. As the name suggests, the DC12 has a maximum capacity of 12 litres per day. This makes it suitable for small homes or flats, but we wouldn't recommend it for houseswith more than three bedrooms. With a large capacity for removing water, the DC202 is a great option as a whole home dehumidifier. The four litre water tank is also one of the largest available on domestic dehumidifiers, so you won't need to empty it as often. From our first visit from Éamonn and Rory, we were very impressed with their advice, patience with all our questions, and their tailoring of a system that suited our situation perfectly. Other features include "gliding" castor wheels, timer mode (two or four hours), continuous drainage option and automatic defrost. The DC12 also has an LED display, two fan speeds and a laundry mode for drying clothes faster. There are a variety of dehumidifiers for various situations. Some are created to remove moisture from a single room. Others can reduce humidity in a whole house. It's important to choose a machine that meets your requirements. In addition, the air purifier uses a five stage system to control odours and remove allergens. This includes charcoal, anti-allergy and ionisation stages. If you or someone in your household suffers from allergies, the air purifier could help relieve symptoms. We also like how the charcoal and deodouriser stagesreduce nasty odours that can build up in homes. As a desiccant model with an 8 litre per day capacity, the Zambezi is more effective incooler temperatures than refrigerant models. At 10 degrees Celsius, for example, it's able to extract up to 7.5 litre per day depending on humidity. This makes it suitable for garages, conservatories and other cooler areas. A few days later, Óisín and two fellow electricians arrived and commissioned the entire system in under 6 hours. Once again, we could not speak highly enough of their professionalism, advice and help, even installing monitoring apps on our phones, and explaining everything in detail to us.

With a 10 litre capacity, the DD322 probably isn't powerful enough to be a whole home dehumidifier unless you have a maximum of 2-3 bedrooms. The good news is that it only weighs 8.5kg, so it's relatively easy to move between rooms when needed. However, if you have a big home and need to remove a lot of humidity, then the Pro Breeze is one of the best dehumidifiers on the market. It excels at pulling moisture out of the air and is a great choice for damp rooms. Keep in mind that, like all refrigerant dehumidifiers, it's more effective in warmer environments, but it still does a decent job in cooler locations.

It's not all positive though. The DC202 is one of the loudest EcoAir dehumidifiers, so you probably won't want to use it in bedrooms. It's also one of the more expensive EcoAir machines. We like the control panel of the Summit S. The "On" button has three colours depending on the humidity, so you can see the current level at a glance. There's also a timer and active humidity display on the control panel. This modern and effectice dehumidifier will help you enjoy the damp free interiors. 3 modes dehumidifier is your ideal housekeeping help. It provides moisture removal up to 12 litres per day at 30°C, 80% RH.

Manufacturerslistcapacity in litres of water extracted per day. While this is a useful way to compare models, it's actually the maximum extraction at ideal temperatures and humidities. In practice, the machine is unlikely to reach these values the vast majority of the time. While it isn't cheap, the DEX214F is highly effective at removing water from warm rooms. It also comes with a humidistat, which aims to keep humidity at a specific level. However, it's most effective at room temperature or above, so we don't recommend it for cooler environments. The air purification systemincludes five separate stages. These perform a variety of operations on the air, including a charcoal filter to remove odours and an anti-allergy device to prevent allergens spreading. An ioniser is also included. The PB-02 has a 500ml water tank, which is considerably smaller than other models on this list. The maximum extraction rate is also low at 250ml per day, however, so you shouldn't need to empty it too frequently. It's also fantastic at removing water from the air. As it's a desiccant model, it excels at room temperature or below. For drying out a few rooms at the same time, the DD322 Classic is an excellent option.

Summary

One thing we like about the DD322 is how easy it is to use. The control panel is self-explanatory and there are settings for maintaining humidity between 40-60%. Like most other EcoAir models, the automatic function is great for maintaining humidity at a certain level without wasting energy. The biggest downside to the DD322 is that it isn't as quiet as other desiccant models. If you're looking for an EcoAir bedroom dehumidifier, there are quieter options available. The DD122FW-MK5 - or just the DD1 MK5 for short - is one of the most popular EcoAir desiccant dehumidifiers. It's a quiet model with aclassic design and range of useful features. Digital Display - The dehumidifier has a large humidistat display, digital controls and a colour indicator which shows the humidity level (blue for 40%, green for 50% and red for 60%). Let's start with the dehumidifier function. It's capable of extracting 20 litres per day, making it one of the highest capacitymodels on this list (at least in ideal conditions). It also has a large four litre water tank so you won't need to empty it as often.
