Description

According to legend, Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka was first created in the 14th century by a group of Polish hunters who were seeking a way to preserve the flavor of the bison meat they had hunted. They discovered that by infusing the bison meat with alcohol, they could preserve its flavor for longer periods of time. And so, Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka was born.

I have tried the Polish version, and honestly I could not tell the difference,” he says. “I know that coumarin is a blood-thinning agent and, therefore, not allowed in the U.S. I’m not sure of the process of lowering it or how they eliminate it from the spirit, but we sure are glad that the vodka is available here.” Generally, Żubrówka pairs well with citrus fruit and produces rich and zesty flavours. For instance, it can be part of a simple Vodka Tonic with a wedge of lime. Meanwhile, it can offer additional complexity to a classic vodka martini. Another recipe of odka alcohol is Przepalanka /Karmelowka- burnt sugar and Spiritus, Water, vanilla ; Allso Adwokaat – egg yolk /sugar , milk ,vanilla, Spirytus ‘n Koniak like – like brandy ( Chatelle or Remy BRandy .) Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka is also said to have some health benefits. Some people believe that it can help with digestion and even relieve anxiety. Whether or not these claims are true remains to be seen, but there's no doubt that Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka is a healthy choice when it comes to alcohol. The grass from which the vodka is made is especially liked by the European bison that roam the Białowieża Forest. The bison, or zubr as they are called in Polish, have attracted much attention. From the 14th century onward they were some of the only remaining wild bison herds on the European continent until 1919. Efforts were made in the 1920s to introduce bison from zoos and private refuges into the forest and today there are more than three hundred. Not surprisingly, the historical and cultural significance of the vodka has created strong reactions to protect what is considered a uniquely Polish product. You can find Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka in many liquor stores, but the best place to buy it is online. There are a few reasons for this. First of all, Żubrówka is great with vanilla ice cream. That said, consider also trying it with somewhat acidic fruit sorbet like raspberry or lime. First and foremost, Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka is unique. There's simply no other vodka like it on the market. It's made with bison grass, which gives it a flavor that's unlike anything else out there.

Interestingly, it also produces a note of coconut that contributes rounded sweetness before you finally get to the finish, which can be defined by tonka bean and rose. Firstly, Żubrówka is very pleasant to drink neat. It’s smooth and flavoursome even at room temperature. However, it’s best served chilled from either the fridge or freezer. Ultimately, the temperature depends entirely on your personal preference. has a distinctive bottle with a bison in a clearing. There’s text underneath, which in my case is in French. However, I imagine it’s different for every country. Around the bottle are extra blades of grass, an additional logo, and a bison pressed into the glass. Like most spirits, Zubrowka should be stored upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight or fluctuating temperatures. This helps preserve its unique flavor characteristics and overall quality. Has Zubrowka Made Any Environmentally Friendly Moves? The brand takes pride in its heritage and the natural environment of the Bialowieza Forest. While specific environmental initiatives can vary, Zubrowka often aligns with efforts to preserve this natural habitat and its iconic European bison. Are There Different Varieties of Zubrowka Vodka?

Overall Experience & Value For Money

has a distinctive lime cordial colour. It’s faint, but there’s this yellowish-green tint. The liquid itself is quite clear. You may get a little bit of sediment from the blade of grass in the bottle, though. If you're a vodka lover, you know that not all vodkas are created equal. Some are cheap and tasteless, while others are smooth and full of flavor. So, what sets Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka apart from the rest? Here are just a few reasons why it's simply the best: There have been, and still are, many imitators made in several countries (mostly in Eastern Europe), although most are vastly inferior to those made at the Polmos Białystok distillery in Poland. In fact, the version made at that distillery—the only one licensed by law to make Żubrówka—is still banned in the United States because it contains higher levels of coumarin. Needless to say, the best way to drink something is the way that you enjoy it the most. Yet, if you’re new to Żubrówka, we’re happy to give you a few pointers. If you've never had Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka before, you're in for a treat. This Polish vodka has a unique flavor that is unlike any other spirit on the market.
