It then complete disappeared and I couldn’t smell anything. I thought maybe my bottle is old, because I had never had a perfume be completely gone after 15 minutes. Bitter disappointment… but wait for it… After 20 minutes it reappeared! As a side note, the tuberourse in this gives a true “I am a rich person smell” it’s very close to Heartless Helen by Penhaligons. If you enjoy that and want to save money I really suggest you try this.

MY OLD FAITHFUL! This is the scent that got me started with perfume collecting, especially celebs, now I have a bunch of her perfumes in my collection. There is something about Curious that radiates and I get a lot of compliments, more then any other scent I own (21 scents). It is a fairytale floral with that magic touch. Not sure what note creates this sensation, maybe the sandlewood with the aquatic notes. The sillage is very sparkly to me. It is a Safe blind buy and versatile for daytime, work or nighttime use. I remember the commercial coming out when I was young but did not start wearing it until recently when I finally got "into" perfumes. Britney was my idol growing up so I love telling people "I smell like Britney Spears". I also suggest Midnight & Electric fantasy is Devine! To me these are more mature BS scents. For the price, I highly suggest her line! Best for Celeb perfumes. I will be gifting this to my mom for birthday this year. She loves L’ Eau De’ Issey & I find these too scents very similar with similar notes even though I highly prefer curious. I think this will be a perfect daily wear for her as it has been for me! This used to be one of my absolute favourite fragrances. I wore it for the first time in a few months yesterday and I'm not sure if the juice has gone a little sour in my bottle or if my nose has changed, but its not how I remember it at all.

It’s literally a bright airy pear with a fresh magnolia sitting on a fruity musk base but it is so good. It gains endless compliments and it lasts around 7 hours which is perfect for a school or work day. On my skin I can only describe Curious as a bouquet of flowers dipped in a bowl of sugar. Possible culprits I can spot are maybe the pear and vanilla, but I can't say I detect either; all I get is a blast of sugar-sweetness and a symphony of florals underneath. Not even the woody base notes peak out until the 3-4 hour mark. It's promotion was very well done and widely done all throughout the world. And don't even get me started on how amazing she looked in the commercial. After 1 hour- still smells similar, but smells much more clean, like a nice shampoo/body wash, the sillage is nice for the price of the perfume too. This is such a lovely and easy to wear fragrance to me. I’ve actually been thinking about adding it to my collection again because I miss it and have been thinking about it a lot.

I’ve never been a fan of more fresh and clean scents because I find them quite boring, but this is very calming. To me it’s like coming straight out of the shower, it’s like a nice body wash. I have an old 10ml bottle of this which I believe only recently started going off after about a decade. However, spoiled or not, this is not the scent for me. It has a cloyingly sweet and artificial smell. It would be unwearable in hot weather because of this, but I wouldn't consider it a cold weather smell either. These issues may have intensified a bit because my bottle is old, but I don't believe the scent has changed too much over time. I find the scent itself to be really young but old-fashioned (it's like the early 2000s/y2k aesthetic in a bottle). The smell makes me think of barbies, toy makeup, and plastic both because of the vibe of the smell and because there's literally a strong artificial/plastic smell to it (not sure what it is). To be fair, it does dry down after 2 or so hours into a much more subtle jasmine-heavy scent on my skin which is ok, but I am not a big fan of prominent jasmine either, and it's not worth the top notes for me (which are all overwhelmingly prominent). the photography may be of a different size of the same product. Please read the product description At the time, I could only afford the mini perfume & that wee bottle lasted me until 9th grade, when I switched to With Love by Hilary Duff & it wouldn't be until this year, at age 32, that I smelled Curious again. It's still a beautiful scent! It's tuberose heavy almost immediately but magnolia adds such a clean feeling to the scent. It's like smelling white flowers on a summer evening breeze. I'm instantly transported to when I first smelled it, when life was still gentle & everything felt possible.

I remember really liking the bottle. No modern perfume I've seen has that flattened diamond shape, nor the atomiser and tassel. Nice bottle with cute marketing. Satisfyingly affordable, too. Britney's name is attached to it and this came out in 2004 when not every celebrity had a fragrance line. Britney continues to dominate the celebrity fragrance world (along with a few others like JLO and Paris Hilton). Her scents are always quality...and always last (with the exception of Island Fantasy which is weak as hell). Two thumbs up Britney. I'm sure that several women out there were teenagers when they bought this and still wear it today in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Hubby rating: 6/10 ("Generic florally smell. Wait! Soap! There's soap. Floral soap. Or...one of those 'summer breeze' soaps, you know? Anyway, it's kinda generic, but still quite nice.")

DRY DOWN: The pear is very apparent on the initial spray, but becomes less and less noticeable as it dries down. It becomes cleaner and more shampoo-like as it dries down.These are different, but there are similarities with being magnolia forward scents. L'Instant de Guerlain plays up the voluptuous, creamy white-floral aspects of magnolia, with a touch of animalics. Curious takes the magnolia in a more aquatic, fruity direction with pear but still has a touch of creamy white-floral from tuberose. L'Instant de Guerlain EDT outperforms.

Curious'' was the first celebrity perfume that I ever bought! It's a beautiful floral but it is not that light. It's a little bit heavy I wore this perfume during my first real date and consequently my first relationship - you know, the kind of relationship that swept you off your feet, had you staying up all night either on the phone or making out, but it was all a lie and only lasted 2 months and left you with a completely shattered heart of a billion trillion pieces and low self-esteem, and introduced you to your very first therapy sessions for severe broken-heartedness (google it, it's a real thing) and depression? Yeah, THAT kind of relationship, lol. It was a total disaster of a K-drama fosho XDSometimes, we don't appreciate scents that are commonly found and used by many, but we end up missing it when they become out of reach. I always wanted to own this scent, but for some reason I ended up procrastinating. Though this has been a go to scent for many women, it still is a gorgeous scent. Women buy this because it's gorgeous, not because it's common. I don't know if it's been reformulated, or because I'm older, or due to the different city/climate I'm in - but this is MUCH better than it used to be. This perfume was the perfect debut scent from Britney, I love reading articles about how much time was put into the making and research of the audience and what kind of fragrances they like bad in the early 00s.
