This rod also houses an exclusive Nash reel seat with slimline EVA trim that ensures an incredibly durable and hardwearing construct so that your big pit reelis safely attached. To assist in retrieval control, the Dwarf Shrink rod also has reverse mounted minima ringing with anti frap tip guides. appreciating that i’m way to late to assist the OP in all likelihood i was going to mention the sonic insurgent spod rod. got one in 9ft and very impressed. mate of mine had an issue with am xtractor (not the spod rod) and i was put off those, but the insurgent has been v good. doesn’t fit in. a scope rod skin though! Do they do a 9ft Sonik 4.5lb? I had thought they did but can only see them listing 10ft 4.5lb rods. I went for the Dwarf 4.5 over the Scope and to be honest it’s stood me in well. It does feel cheap as it was cheap! I’ve got Scope fishing rods but couldn’t bring myself to pay the extra either as someone else said. I only fish up to about 70 yards and it handles that fine 👍 9ft 👍 Since Nash introduced the Scope range to the angling world some years ago now, there has been a big increase in the use of rods that telescope into themselves. This type of rod is perfect for travelling or for those who prefer to travel light. They are also a great addition to your arsenal of carp rods. Let's take a look at some of the very best telescopic rods that money can buy!

Good to know you can get the dwarf in the scope bag upside down - sounds like it could be the way to go.They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Well, that must be the case for the Nash Scope Rods, as they have been imitated by most of the leading rod brands in the UK in some form or another! It's not necessarily a bad thing, though, as there is now a lot more choice for you, the carp angler. A ok maybe ill aviod dwarf then haha. Shame the scopes are so so much money but the tt ones do look good. And I havnt heard one bad thing about them and I get the same tc I'm used too Sonik have done the own which are same lenght as the scopes so should fit in the quiver the same with reel pouches and there only about 80 quid each.

Anyone tried putting the dwarf spod rod in a scope rod bag? Have head they won’t fit (although guess that’s with the reel attached)? Guess can always just get a single dwarf rod skin. Was thinking of the Sonik Xtractor Spod or Nash Dwarf Spod (wasn’t sure there was any sense paying the extra for the Scope Spod). No idea if there are any issues with compatibility with the scope rod bags.I have the new dwarf 9ft spod rod. I think its spot on and does the job for that type of short-medium range fishing. In fact, I have heard other brands of telescopic rods referred to as 'Scope style rods', affirmation, if it were ever needed, that Nash Scopes have made a lasting impression on the carp fishing industry! One of the two are ridiculously dear 😂 😂. I'll be honest mate, I wouldn't wanna cast a 4oz lead or a big dead bait at distance on my dwarfs. I can hear the snap from here lol. Great bit of kit but I wouldn't trust them casting big weight at distance. I may be wrong but I really feel the tc label on these rods is a bit over zealous. I've put my 3.5 ten feet against a 2.75 fox rod and the fox rod felt stiffer at .75 less tc. Don't get me wrong I love my dwarfs. I have two sets. One 1.75 I use for all manner of fishing. And the 3.5s I use for carping, sometimes when it's suited to them. Both 10 feet. But for me they suit small water fishing or margin area fishing. Days when I'm on the roam fishing light they are the perfect kit. Even fighting the fish they feel a little edgey at times. Their action doesn't seem forgiving. But they have their use. @B.C. got rid of his cause he didn't like their action and said it felt dangerous playing the fish caption id="attachment_743" align="aligncenter" width="300"] This fish was not caught from a no fishing zone..... maybe.[/caption] Sonik Xtractor - A great alternative to the Scopes, but the best bit is they are a fraction of the price.

In addition Dwarf rods challenge traditional thinking of how long a rod should be – why do you need a cumbersome 12ft carp rod when a Dwarf will cast over 150yards, be more accurate at casting to that gap in the reeds on the far margin, whilst playing and landing carp is an effortless pleasure. The Dwarf Shrink range includes 6ft 2lb and 3lb models for the tightest situations, with 3.25lb and 3.5lb blanks for mainstream big fish applications capable of dealing with the biggest carp and heaviest leads. Aesthetics aside, the Dwarf Shrink rod boasts slim high performance blanks with a 1K carbon finish to ensure a strong rod, ready for battles with stubborn fish.
