Led by the plague lord Torglug the Despised, Nurgle’s servants had smashed their way past the rearguard of sylvaneth and Stormcasts who stood to bar their path. Torglug’s festering horde was snapping at the heels of Alarielle’s guardians, sure of imminent victory.Amidst the darkness of such impossible odds, true heroes shine all the brighter. The Lady of Vines took up Alarielle’s soulpod and led her desperate warband into the wilds. The Branchwraith moved with purpose, determined that her mother would never fall into Nurgle’s festering clutches. [1d] Karthaen is a key fighter in Skaeth’s Wild Hunt, capable of casting spells and possessing an excellent action on his fighter card. By using his Hunting Horn, this fighter can provide you with some much-needed re-rolls. An excellent opening play for Skaeth’s Wild Hunt is to use Karthaen’s Hunting Horn, before sending Skaeth to deliver a devastating blow to one of your enemy’s smaller fighters in the next activation. Alarielle - Alarielle is the goddess of life, the mother of the sylvaneth race and the warrior regent of Ghyran. By her hand were the first soulpod seeds sown and the sylvaneth brought into being. The Queen of the Radiant Wood is also the foremost defender of the Realm of Life from the predations of Chaos. Alarielle’s sigil is the ultimate symbol of power to the sylvaneth, and it is borne by each member of the Royal Moot alongside their own. The Free Spirits also march beneath the Everqueen’s personal banner, and through their courage and might is her divine will done. 25, 26, 132

Dryads are your cheap battleline and if you have 2 or more clumped together this can be a very cost effective way to save them, it’s rather difficult to set up in practice though. You have access to a lot of healing but any healing done on your General for free, frees up healing for spells and artefacts. B- At the start of the hero phase, each player can attempt to dispel 1 endless spell with each friendly WIZARD and friendly PRIEST. The player whose turn is taking place makes all of their dispelling attempts first. If a WIZARD attempts to dispel an endless spell, they can attempt to cast or unbind 1 fewer spell in that hero phase. If a PRIEST attempts to dispel an endless spell, they can chant 1 fewer prayer in that hero phase. The same player cannot attempt to dispel the same endless spell more than once per phase. A little beefier in cost at 40 pts but still has some really good effects. Dreadwood probably will get a lot of mileage from it due to wanting as many bravery effects it can get. Who’s a good kitty? Not this savage bringer of Kurnoth’s wrath! Lighaen is incredibly fast, and gains Ensnare (like Cleave, but for Dodge rolls) when inspired, making them perfect for chasing down any stragglers who think they can escape nature’s wrath!

Sigmar: How to Play Sylvaneth - Bell of Lost Souls Age of Sigmar: How to Play Sylvaneth - Bell of Lost Souls

Since you’re likely leaning in on magic to play this, not a bad deal. Notable rule here is that rules like this usually establish if your General is a Wizard you have to take this, and it doesn’t say that. So no getting around it.The recent Sylvaneth release added several new units to the woodland warriors, including bug-mounted Spiterider Lancers and the terrifyingly tentacled Lady of Vines . Veteran Sylvaneth commander – and expert painter – Andy Wardle grabbed all these new additions for his army, and wanted to show them off to the world. William put a lot of work into buffing the Branchwraith, giving her Throne of Vine and the Spiritsong Stave. He also added Balewind Vortex as well, to put her on it. While you don’t need all 3 its common to use 2 of these tools to guarantee the Branchwraith’s unique spell cannot fail, as summoning more Dryads can be key to winning, and if you can get the spell off every turn that’s an additional 600 points worth of models at no cost to you. Otherwise the other noteworthy inclusions are a mix of Kuroth Hunters with varying melee weapons (with an Arch-Revenant to lead) and both Spirit of Durthu and Drycha. While it’s rare to include both, they both serve important roles. Paul’s Gnarlroot List Allegiance: Sylvaneth The sylvaneth are intelligent, humanoid trees who are the living embodiment of Ghyran, the Realm of Life. They are the most beloved children of the Everqueen Alarielle, goddess of life and nature. Tramble Underfoot –At the end of the combat phase you can nominate one enemy unit within 1″and roll a die for each model in the unit. For each 4+ deal a mortal wound. A 4+ for a free ability like this is pretty nasty.
