William wants to be part of Sammy's club. He gains acceptance when Sammy is in need of a new trolley from Mr. Longtail. He ends up letting Angelina and Miss Lilly down, but his and Sammy's lot make up for it.

Angelina is a pretty little mouse who wants nothing more than to be a ballerina. She dances all the time—at home, at school, even in her dreams! In fact, she’s so busy dancing that she forgets all about the other things she’s supposed to do, like cleaning her room and joining her family for breakfast! Alice gives Angelina a new gym bag, but when she mislays it, Alice thinks Angelina gave it away and doesn't appreciate her and the two friends fall out, until Henry finds the bag and Angelina and Alice make up. I understand that Angelina has a dream and nothing will stop her, even her parents, even the rules. I just don't see how this is a nice lesson or story for children. It's almost saying don't pay any attention to the people around you, behave selfishly, and you will eventually push them to give you what they want. This story would have been better if her parents had taught her to have respect for her family and for the property of others and if she had learned all of these things, perhaps they would be able to help her begin to dance. Angelina Ballerina is a story about a young mouse who dreamt of being a ballerina. Angelina would dance all over the house, forgetting tasks that she was asked to do, and making a mess of her mothers things. Her mother, Mrs. Mouseling began to see her dancing as a nuisance. Mr. and Mrs. Mouseling signed Angelina up for ballet lessons and she was overjoyed. She was so busy dancing in her class that she didn't feel like she needed to dance at home. From then on she went to school on time and did as she was asked. Many years later, her dreams came true and she became a famous ballerina. Henry Mouseling (voiced by Jo Wyatt) is Angelina and Polly's soft-voiced paternal cousin, Lavender and Louis's son, Grandma and Grandpa's grandson, and Matilda and Maurice's nephew.

Preparations for Queen Seraphina's visit are made. Disaster strikes when Louis and Maurice break the Queen's statue. Thinking Henry broke it, Alice and Angelina try to mend it. At the unveiling of the statue, Queen Seraphina is flattered. Revisiting this book as an adult was utterly lovely, and left me feeling bubbly-happy. The art was just as warm and charming as I remember, and I now know why I developed such an affection for The Sugarplum Fairy (Angelina’s dream sequence). I love this book just as much, if not more, than I did as a little girl. I actually didn’t remember the ending, and it was such a great surprise when I realized what it was! I think that’s an ending long-time lovers of this book can appreciate even more as an adult! Polly Mouseling is the younger daughter of Maurice and Matilda and the little sister of Angelina. In the TV series Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps, Polly is four years old.

I found Angelina Ballerina to be a very heartwarming book. I loved that her parents helped and encouraged Angelina to follow her dreams of being a ballerina. I also liked that in the end, she did achieve her original goal because it is inspiring for the young readers.
