About this deal

Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. I love Ghosts, such a well written, funny, and sometimes genuinely poignant show, and if this sample is anything to go by, the book will be a good extension of that - I found the Julian sections in particular very funny.

If you enjoy the TV series Ghosts, this book should be great fun, judging by the pre-publication sampler.I thoroughly recommend you all get the audiobook and read with the book as it’s all narrated by our favourite ghosts. You too will be able to workout in the style of Captain Willbond, check out notes from the archaeological dig when they found the body of Robin or an inquiry into Julian. They said: “We started kicking around the idea of a ‘Ghosts’ companion book quite early on in the life of the series and got very excited about how the characters could show up in all kinds of documents and artefacts. From Thomas’ love letters, to Fanny’s tips on etiquette and Julian’s election speeches, this book contains all of the character insiders the show didn’t get a chance to show us! It's presented as a series of documents relating to the lives, and deaths, of Button House's spectral inhabitants.

Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond are the creators of GHOSTS and all star in the series. Loved the little insights we got into each of the ghosts and I was giggling like an idiot in the staffroom while reading this at work. The ghosts of Button House may have been dead a long time - some of them a very long time - but they have all left their mark on the world (even if, in Robin's case, that mark is just a handprint on the wall of a cave). Katy Follain, head of Bloomsbury general, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to Ghosts: The Button House Archives from Paul Stevens at Independent Talent. One for the fans perhaps, but there are plenty of us and with the last series coming up, I'll take everything I can get! It is the perfect Christmas gift and I'm looking forward to seeing the fans dressed up in their favourite Ghosts costumes for the events. Written by the show’s creators – Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond – this eclectic archive is a unique chance to discover more about the beloved ghosts of Button House.

Also a little disappointing thelat Katy Wix wasn't able to read Mary's sections, very funny character. Gathered together in this volume is a treasure trove of unearthed cuttings, original records and rare artefacts that explore the unseen lives of those who died at Button House: from Thomas's love letters to Pat's 'Summer Camp Rap', and from Julian's campaign promises to Lady Button's Rules of Etiquette. It doesn't say anything too new but there are many intricate but minor details about the ghosts' past lives through the form of artefacts such as letters, newspapers, photos, other correspondence etc. I read the physical book a couple of months ago and never got around to finishing the audiobook until now I am obsessed! Ghosts: The Button House Archives is described as "a hilarious, colourful and entertaining compendium of surviving artefacts and documents relating to the ghosts of Button House's past lives. The only reason I couldn’t give this one five stars (it has to be simply immaculate for me for five stars), is that I struggled to read the handwritten sections of the book.

exercise routines, transcripts, newspaper articles, letters and more, from the lives of our favourite ghosts. She fills her days with swimming, fishing, quilting, and baiting the tourists who arrive from the city with more money than sense. Written by the show's creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond this eclectic archive is a unique chance to discover more about the beloved ghosts of Button House. I had a great time with this book and full recommend it as an essential reads for fans of the show and a perfect coffee table book for me to dive into whenever I desire.
