About this deal

Eva is nearly 5 which I think is an ideal age for the kit as I know she will be able to use it for a few more years as her love for Build-A-Bear will be sure to continue for years to come. I found that twisted it on rather than pulling it on felt more secure, your child will probably need help with this bit as it can be a bit fiddly. if you are not going to purchase anymore bears afterwards, the station is a little redundant afterwards but I’m sure most Build-A-Bear lovers will be after some more at some point!

The Build-A-Bear stuffing station is a kit that allows your children to make two of their very own Build-A-Bear cuddly friends from the comfort of their own home. My nine year old actually has a bigger version of the teddy she picked so of course she got named Rainbow Junior. Attach one of the bears to the side of the stuffing station (see photo below) and start turning the handle. To get started you choose your bear "skin" and carefully place it onto the nozzle on the stuffing station machine. Once their bears were stuffed the girls then proceeded to pop their hearts inside and fill out their birth certificates.Half the fun of these toys is getting to be part of the process of making them, pumping in the stuffing, placing a loving heart inside and then of course you need to name your new companion. It didn’t matter massively as my boys liked twisting the lever and we ended up just taking the bear off and stuffing him with what was coming out of the nozzle, but in theory, it did make the stuffing station slightly redundant as we could have stuffed it from the bag directly! I could see younger children needing a helping hand with pushing the stuffing into all of the limbs though.

I think it's a fab product but my only reservation is the fact that you can only make 2 bears with the kit. We did not realise until doing the second bear, that it is best to almost “screw” the bear on to the side. What I immediately love about this toy is the fact that no batteries are needed, a big plus from a parent point of view. My nine and seven year olds were able to do the majority of this by themselves, the only thing that they needed help with was popping the bears back on the nozzle on occasion. It was quite tricky to keep the bear attached / hooked onto the nozzle of the stuffing station where the stuffing comes out.Consenting to these technologies will allow us to process data such as browsing behaviour or unique IDs on this site. At first I was worried Lamb would need a lot of assistance, but he actually managed to do most of it himself. Since then we've had many more of these creations come into our house, including my youngest's favourite cuddly toy, Chewbacca.

We zipped up my son’s bear and then realised that the plastic hearts (and cardboard accessories if you wish) needed to be inserted into the bear. One bear requires one bag of stuffing, simply put a bag of stuffing into the stuffing station, place one of the bears over the nozzle and begin to turn the handle clockwise. We tested out a Build-a-Bear Stuffing Station which features two different designs (of bear) and everything you need to create and personalise your own teddy bear at home. The build-a-bear kit comes with a stuffing station, x2 different bear designs, x2 bags of stuffing, x2 plastic hearts which you can insert with some of the cardboard accessories, as well as x2 birth certs, x2 t-shirts for the bears and of course the instructions! A younger child would not be able to ensure all the stuffing was pushed evenly into the limbs and head.

You then place your bag of stuffing inside the machine (each bear comes with its own bag) and then twist the handle clockwise to begin stuffing your bear. The accompanying birth certs are good and my six year old enjoyed filling his in (with a little help from me). Eva found this quite difficult and i'll admit I did too, until I realised that you have to almost 'screw it on' by twisting it around the nozzle. From playgroups, education and English Tutors to events, activities and fun for all the family, you are in the right place! To stuff your bear you empty a bag of stuffing material into the stuffing machine, and then place your bear ‘skin’ on the output of the machine, before turning the handle to wind the stuffing into your bear. The bear will pop off occasionally but this is a sign for you to use your fingers to push the stuffing into smaller areas of the bear such as the hands and legs. This added an extra element to the toy, giving it a learning aspect as well as the fun side of it all.
