About this deal

It made me laugh (even if some of the swear words were misspelled and mistranslated, nothing crucial to the story however! Her resolve to stay single wavers however when she meets the two new drivers on the team Will and Luis. The setting of Chasing Daisy revolves around the F1 championship, I liked it … there is a lot of tension from the start and a lot of swearing in Italian, which, accidentally, I can understand …. Having first heard of Paige Toon from a review in Heat magazine, I read Lucy In The Sky and Johnny Be Good, both of which were fantastic chill-out reads! I loved the idea of this story and I like the idea of fictional characters Daisy and Luis living together happily somewhere in bookland.

I’m putting this book in my abandoned shelf and maybe I’ll continue reading it in the future (not) But I'm sure it’s a safe guess that Daisy would end up with Luis. The story was set on several different country because Daisy works as a front-of-house girl in hospitality and catering for a Formula 1 team, so she goes all around the world wherever the team would race with 2 gorgeous hot racers who she had a crush for one of them at hate for the other. But there were a couple of things that were a little confusing and should have been changed during the editing process. Anna is recovering from a broken heart: where best to cut all ties and find a new direction to her life than on the other side of the world? I was a little apprehensive when I started to read this book as it was straight into the formula 1 theme and I cannot say I am a huge fan on car racing so it is not my idea of a perfect read but I soon changed my mind when the book worked its magic and had me hooked! I'm Swedish, have lived here more or less my whole life, yet having gone to international schools I've had quite a few friends from different countries.

Daisy and him learning swear words in different languages, him embarrassing her in front of some important people, him standing up for her at an event, him trying to psyche out Will before a race.

She has written fifteen novels, a three-part spin-off for young adults and a collection of short stories. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages.

One of the qualities of Paige's writing is that characters are interlinked throughout her books -I discovered this after falling in love with Chasing Daisy and promptly devouring her other books that I could get my hands on.It was obviously a book that was hard to put down, slight plot twists and actions that make you yell 'No! Daisy keeps getting funny feelings watching the races and can understand in the end why Laura didn't watch many races of her boyfriends. We find this out pretty early on in the book and we find out he cheated on her multiple times, just for those not aware of Toon's last book. Firstly, how quick she falls for Will, with hardly any story there for us to believe in it, led to me not rooting for them at all (this may be due to the turn of events that go on to unfold, to be fair), and so I wasn’t captured initially.

What is this - cheating, death of a main character = A painful reading experience for me, it doesn't equate to a enjoyable romance that I can sink in to. I think this was more because you didn't see what was going to happen next as the story is not predictable so I found some parts was upsetting but this only made me want to read on to see what was going to happen next. I have never heard an American friend say something like "back home in America I fancy lying back on the sofa and watching the telly", NEVER! the mini story skips a head to 3 years after Wills death, Daisy’s nonna has passed away and she and Luis are spending New Years together in her nonnas old house her favourite place in the Italian hills.I usually love Paige Toon novels and I did find myself absorbed in this one, but I just didn’t find it as convincing as her other novels.
