Emeralds sadly has no longevity on me and is oddly appealing but incomplete, like something that could have been great but never got there. The melon is NOT the aquatic cucumber/calone style, but rather like a fragrant cantaloupe, the peach is not cloying (I often feel that peach gets a little "pond-watery") and both of these mixes beautifully with the tart rhubarb. The niche movement had not yet taken everyone by the nose or gotten so many people accustomed to paying through the nose. smells like I'm right there, slicing up those suckers with a pale, fragrant bouquet nearby, and oceanic air wafting through the window. I am trying to identify which note it is that is throwing things off for me, but can't put my finger on it.

While ET was an early "celebrity" fragrance seller, I think that all the later use of celebs may have made us too dismissive of this line. We are all products of the generations we are in, as well as the fragrance trends manufacturers put out for us during the phases of our lives, what we smell older folks wearing, etc. I "like" this perfume, however, on me - with my chemistry, I'm more partial to Diamonds and Emeralds, Passion, and the dry down of White Diamonds (after powering through the beginning phases).I am a big fan, and supporter of the Elizabeth Taylor fragrances—from Passion, to Gardenia, and most of the Diamonds in between, but I do not enjoy Diamonds and Sapphires!

I know that a little goes a long way for Liz Taylor perfumes, so I just put a few drops on my wrists. Even less than what I paid for my La Fleur that lasted 6 years, but I don't foresee this lasting as long. This has a delicious absolutely gorgeous melon note that makes it stand out amongst other fruity fragrances. This could be lovely on anyone who can wear these types of scents but unfortunately I cannot do it justice as my chemistry just does not mix with anything Marine, Aquatic, watery or 'cool'.

This is refreshing, I agree with the reviews that said that this smells like a fresh summer fruit salad.I had shied away from trying any ET perfume until this last week, and I am blown away by the quality! It is a very light, barely-there fruity scent which is very wearable during daytime for pretty much any occasion. Rubies is just delicious and smells expensive, Emeralds is nice and easy,, Sapphires smells cheap to me and cloying. Not "cool" in a slangy way, but despite a tad of amber and a hint of musk this one is not warm and cuddly.
