The chapters were to the point, easy to digest and just enough to hold my attention without feeling bogged down with information. It is fed by meditating over and over on your challenges, difficulties, and problems in life and by comparing your life with someone you think has it better than you do. The book has Scripture throughout as well as a lot of facts, personal experiences and shared stories of others to really emphasise Joyce's points and guiding principles. This book helped me to see areas of my life that I need to allow God to heal-these areas weren't easily identifiable to me before reading this book.I did the study guide along with the book and that helped me get even more into healing through God’s word. Readers of Meyer will be familiar with her encouragement to control thoughts and concentrate on God's Word. When we are wounded, we must not only desire to be healed, but we must be willing and ready to be brutally honest with ourselves.
