That only represents half the film's lifespan, so I'd imagine there's no shortage of enthusiastic fans who caught Killer Klowns in theaters, on VHS, or on cable when it was even younger. It’s not a universal fear, but the idea of a murderous clown is still a creepy notion that other horror films continue to exploit to this day. Comes with a slipcase, a reversible sleeve featuring original and newly commissioned artwork by Sara Deck, a fold-out poster, and a booklet. and rises several stories, with an almost insane labyrinth of nooks and crannies containing an almost overwhelming selection of books. Yet, the overall picture doesn't show a great deal of sharp definition, looking fairly soft for a majority of the time.The three talk about specific effects or sequences in the film, with a bigger focus on the film’s original opening. But they have no idea how to direct and edit, the music will make your ears bleed, the acting is atrocious, the sets are ridiculously phoney, and the kills are mostly lame. It's made even more bizarre when characters on screen show absolutely no fear of the invading aliens simply because they resemble clowns. The disc then closes with an image gallery featuring film stills, behind-the-scene stills, concept art, and storyboards.

Like just about all of Arrow’s releases of low budget cult films Killer Klowns from Outer Space looks way better than it probably has any right to be, and I wouldn’t be surprised (again) if it looks better here than it did during its initial theatrical run.Arrow Video’s new Special Edition Blu-ray release trumps its previous one and is definitely the one to own for just such an occasion. Arrow’s special edition appears to port everything over from the old MGM disc while adding some of their own. Meanwhile, "The Chiodos Walk Among Us: Adventures in Super 8 Filmmaking" (23 minutes) offers a welcome overview of the brothers' early live action or stop-motion experiments with 8mm and Super 8 from childhood through college, with plenty of vintage clips and interesting first-hand memories from all three brothers about many of the movies coming up next. If your movie/TV show is in desperate need of practical effects, stop-motion animation, and/or unusual props – all with a quirky edge and real personality – you might want to contact the Chiodo Brothers. Since earlier releases -- dating back to MGM's DVD, if not even further -- included Dolby Surround tracks, the notion of a discrete 5.I never actually saw the film ’til years later on TV and then again later as a teen renting the DVD. You can pop it in and manage to get people cringing and laughing at the same time, which is the best kind of Halloween party movie.
