About this deal

They are also supplied with a V shaped jaw head, which has an adjustable screw thread going through the side, which can be set as required. They have al the holes down the side for small cable, a tool for ringing cable, splitter, and then they've got a little one for Coaxial cable.

A brilliant product i couldn't be without, how on earth it took me so long to find out about this tool is beyond me. Markings inside the tool permit accurately repeated stripping of single conductors and dismantling of coax cables. The stripping blade I thought would penetrate too deeply and score all the way to the core when stripping long lengths but I have yet been able to make it do so. A very special combination tool is the KNIPEX ErgoStrip®, which can be used to strip both sheaths and insulation of all common types. The handles are fitted with multi-component grips, providing comfort and lessening hand fatigue during extended use. With this, you open up the clam, slide the cable in, little press, rotate, open up, pull back a little bit, and slide off. After a few weeks of using them it did become easier to use however I still prefer to use typical cable cutters. Then the scored steel wires can be removed by taking several at a time, and working back and forth until they snap off. Just makes the job go quicker Very well designed, larger than I though it would be but perfect for the job of stripping flex. The blade provided in the tool is good for 100 terminations and can be easily replaced in less than a minute using a screwdriver.

Toolden Limited trading as Toolden is a credit broker, not a lender and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 654671 ). It could do coaxial, so it'll cut the outer sheathing and the inner sheathing without damaging the internals.

I don't think it's really designed for this cable, but it's doing it, and that's a bit bigger than 4mm. I would still recommend everyone to have them in there tool bag as they are handy when the cable comes out a wall and your unable to get a close strip with conventional cutters.
