About this deal
There have been a few exceptions in the recently-released Joker and Terry FPs, but said exception unfortunately does not extend to Meta Knight.
The amiibo doesn’t have good angle AI, he’ll go off in a weird direction and most of the time hit nobody.
Since amiibo know how to recover without being trained, you don’t need to teach him Shuttle Loop at all for the amiibo to properly recover.
Back Air is another move that we can use to fill in the gaps: Meta Knight can drop from the ledge to Back Air gimp a recovering opponent, and he can also use Back Air as a dragdown to finish off the opponent with a Down Smash. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. You can also use amiibo on your New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL by tapping them to the NFC area on the bottom screen. Next is Shuttle Loop; after the AI uses the attack, it won’t fast-fall back to the stage to minimize its vulnerability. Neutral air is a bit strange; it’s really important but shouldn’t be spammed due to its small hitbox. FSmash — Maybe I should move this to AI issues, but MK SEEMS to be aware of how this move works in terms of knockback.
Then there’s forward tilt, in which the AI always fails to use the third and final hit unless it’s attacking an opponent’s shield. Opposing amiibo have a tendency to block the first few hits, and then they drop shield because I guess they just enjoy pain. After a hard day of battling, display Meta Knight and your other Amiibo collections at home or work. To my surprise, I think these Amiibo are pretty evenly matched and I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. Also it’s a multihit that carries to opponent to the blast zone, deals a lot of damage for MK, and opponents are REALLY bad about blocking this attack.Mach Tornado — Have heard that this move has edgeguard potential, but I have yet to get him to use this move offstage.
When you do land a standing grab, Dthrow if you’re in the middle of the stage and go for FAir or NAir.
Meta Knight can combo it into Down Smash or Dash Attack, and so long as you’re still prioritizing Down Smash over Down Tilt (they have similar ranges, so be careful training them both! Dreadfather is the foremost Meta Knight expert, having spent more time labbing out Meta Knight than anyone else.
