About this deal

Ok, so what I learned is that I can detect PWM at my x220, cellphone, etc. Unfortunately, the probe, as implemented now, has probably a bandwidth 1-2kHz. If you need more power, the 35WN75C monitor I just mentioned supports up to 94W over this connection. That should power a 15 or 16” MacBook Pro. Using the built in USB hub Rather frustratingly these ports will drop to slow USB 2.0 speeds with a USB-C to USB-C cable like the one supplied – which is ok for a keyboard and mouse but not much else. If you connect to this upstream USB-C port with a USB-A to USB-C cable from a USB 3 port on your computer, you’ll get full USB 3.1 Gen 1 speeds up to 5Gbps from the USB-A ports which is much more useful. June 20, 2023 Update: We corrected typos, added more info, and better recommendations based on current prices. Besides, we compared it to some other cheaper and more expensive models.

Aside from that, it offers a refresh rate of 100hz, which is lower than the 144hz or 240hz suggested for gaming screens. Of course, it is way better than 60hz and 75, but you can still tell the differences in favor of the 144hz if you compare them side by side. You can see how LG describe the various HDR modes in this table from the manual: Picture quality and colour accuracy Decent sharpness at typical viewing distances If you connect the monitor over this input, you can also use the monitor as a USB hub with it’s two standard USB-A ports, although it is awkward accessing these ports behind the large monitor. At the very least, it supports HDR 10, though this is just another mediocre feature that can be found on far less expensive monitors. The LG 35WN73A or 35WN75C in the US is a curved 35” ultra-wide quad HD monitor with HDR, a 100Hz refresh rate, Freesync and USB Type-C connectivity that supports both display and power. There are also keyboard shortcuts to switch between computers and transfer files if you prefer. Make sure this is enabled in Settings. Conclusion: It is too early to confirm the screen does not use the PWM for the brightness control but likely it does not. I will try to improve the probe. Its large screen and 3440 x 1440 pixel resolution should make it perfect for productivity and its decent refresh rate, Freesync support and HDR capabilities could make it a good option for gaming too – with a PC or even an Xbox Series X or Playstation 5.

Unlike the 35WN75C version of this monitor, this monitor doesn’t have speakers built in but there’s a 3.5mm audio output to attach headphones or powered speakers. Inputs One of the users asked about dimensions and about the stand. Please note that the screen is exactly 83.3cm wide. This is the same on the top and on the bottom. However, now that you know all of the advantages of an IPS panel, you may understand our disappointment at learning that this monitor features a VA panel, which is much inferior to an IPS panel in terms of color fidelity. There isn’t a huge choice at this price point but if you’re after a 144Hz monitor with faster response times consider the Gigabyte G34WQC or Xiaomi Mi 34” curved gaming monitor which are both a similar price. Fortunately, you can get around that with some slight tweaking in the red and green tones. While it does have good out-of-the-box colors for the casual customer, it isn’t recommended for media professionals. In that case, maybe the LG 34WP85C-B will suit you better. Most AMD graphics cards will support Freesync and most recent 10-Series and above Nvidia graphics cards will also support Freesync in G-Sync compatible mode. If you can see Setup G-Sync in the Nvidia Control Panel, after turning Freesync on in the monitor then your card is supported. You can also enable 10-bit output here if you wish. only AUO manufactures 35" wide-screens. I would be very surprised, if LG used a competitor's panel. But maybe they do it. Below is the EEID. I think it is not 100% accurate.

Firstly, as we are aware, one of the standout strengths of VA panels is their high contrast ratio. Surprisingly, this monitor falls short with a contrast ratio of only 2500:1, failing to meet the recommended 3000:1 expected in this price range. Afaik this is a VA monitor with high contrast ratio and a good resolution, but 100hz refresh rate (which is good, not exceptional). Has speakers built in and may ports (usb c for charging for example).

Mudah dan Nyaman

When it came to the brightness ratio, everything started to fall apart even further. Although 300 nits are more than plenty for 95% of users, I’m not going to lie: I was anticipating something in the 350 or 400 nits range at this price tag.
