About this deal

She popped into The Graham Norton Radio Show With Waitrose this weekend to tell us more about the book. And we have to say, she was an absolute delight. Christine believes that there are many people who are autistic and who aren't diagnosed. She hopes her book will continue the conversation about neurodiversity and help people with autism thrive. In this first children’s book from autism ambassador, Christine McGuinness shows just how important it is to embrace diversity and inclusivity while highlighting just how much it means to accept one another, just as we are with all the uniqueness that makes us special. Speaking about her book, Christine said: "I wanted children to understand children like mine. I've had a lot of parents asking me, how to we introduce our children to autistic children? You know, what would you like us to say?She added: "It's a real child-friendly way for children to learn about autistic children."

Amazing Me, Amazing You by Christine McGuinness, illustrated by Hannah Jayne Lewin, is out now (Scholastic). She added: "And that is why I wrote the book. Everybody should just be able to be themselves... I'm going to cry! So I'm at the post office now, I'm going to post an early copy of my book to this little girl so she can go to school on World Book Day, dressed as herself.Christine McGuinness has spoken out about the 'biggest support' in her life following her split from her husband Paddy McGuinness. The model and autism campaigner is currently preparing for the release of her first solo documentary which will see her reveal how autism in women and girls has been ignored and misunderstood by science and society, leaving thousands of women undiagnosed. But speaking about the 'biggest support' in her life, former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Christine heaped praise on her three young children. "Who is the biggest support in my life? It’s my children and they don’t even know it,” she told OK! Magazine."The love and support, the laughter that they give me, the way that they’re growing up and dealing with their own little challenges at such a young age, gives me all the motivation and inspiration I need and that’s my support." Model and author Christine McGuinness, who was diagnosed with autism in 2021 aged 33, has released her first children's book. Titled Amazing Me, Amazing You, she hopes it will be the perfect way for parents or carers to introduce the subject of neurodiversity to any child. My kids said I’m cool for being an author. Best compliment ever!!!" Christine shared. She then added: "(Number 1 best selling author but I don’t like to brag about it). These last couple of days have been a very chaotic dream. I have been inundated with love and support. Thank you for sharing your stories with me!"

She then came on to sharing a clip of inside her home, filming a long line of dolls and teddies belonging to her kids - twins Leo and Penelope and youngest child Felicity, before showing her very own book the yellowy-gold cover featured Christine's name and a small picture of her with the title, Amazing Me, Amazing You. That's why I looked into it because I thought there must be a genetic link," she says. "If I've got three autistic kids, surely there's got to be something there and they were just very similar to me. Turns out we're all autistic. The best thing about my diagnosis is that, you know, when I was telling my children about being autistic, I said, 'Look, mummy is autistic too. It's fine. I go to work. I drive a car...' I'm trying to socialise more now. I'm trying different foods. And yeah, I'm oversensitive. And I have little challenges. But yeah, we're all doing great. We support each other." Prior to her diagnosis, she often failed to understand how other people made normal conversations appear so simple. Loose Women's Denise Welch, 64, branded 'hot stuff' and told she looks '36' with golden tan in swimsuit It appeared to include a trip out of the country as Christine filmed from inside a plane and wrote: "More on this soon," with the eyes emoji making up the two 'o's'. She also shared a snap of a stunning sunset capture from her Cheshire abode, which she still shares with ex-husband Paddy McGuinness and their children, writing: "No place like home."I actually sit on my hands if I'm irritating myself or feeling like I'm being very 'obvious'. Little things [like] that I'm ok with now." She then added: "More on this lil trip coming soon." Christine added: "I won't lie. I'm actually nervous. Go easy on me," as she shared a teaser clip for her appearance as Loose Woman star Coleen Nolan informed fans about her guest appearance. And as she made her glamourous entrance onto the show, she sat down with Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards, Carol McGiffin, and Nadia Sawalha she made an admission. Carol also asked the TV personality about her own diagnosis of autism, stating that it took her "a long time" to realise she had it, being in her early 30s. Christine said: "I always knew there was something, I always felt different, but it's been amazing. Christine, who is the proud mum of twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and youngest daughter Felicity, six, who she shares with Paddy and who all have autism, revealed she had also been diagnosed with the developmental disability caused by differences in the brain that affects how people communicate and interact with the world towards the end of 2021.
