About this deal

And yet, the Anker Soundcore Life P2 buds manage to stand out from the crowd. They have a comfortable, fuss-free design, good sound, decent call quality, and endurance to spare. They can’t offer the highest grade of sound reproduction, but what they do produce does bely their price point and is certainly good enough for the average listener. The headphones are rated for use around 10 meters from the device as these operate on Bluetooth 5.0. This seemed accurate as I left the case and phone at my desk, whilst pottering around one of the offices I’m based in, without any audio dropping out. With slightly better sound and controls than the comparably priced Soundcore Life P2 mini, the Life P2i is the most versatile and best cheap Soundcore wireless earbuds you can buy. But if you can expand your budget a little bit more, you will get sufficient value in both earbud sets. Just ensure you get the right ear tips in, or else you’ll be unhappy when they fall out in the middle of the street.

There are plenty of true wireless earbuds out there these days, flooding every price point, from budget buds to high-end portable audio – as established players and newcomers alike try to make a name for themselves in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Depending on your trust levels, basic Bluetooth (even Bluetooth 5.2) shouldn’t present too many issues on this front. You can always have a bad situation, but be open about it (something airlines are notoriously bad about) and show the steps you’re taking to resolve the issue. However, Anker and Eufy’s behaviour has been less than open – to put it mildly.

How do you connect the Anker Soundcore Life P2?

Has Anker managed to make a human-manageable control schema for these Soundcore Life P2i earbuds? With two buttons, I can answer that with a simple “nope”. On the upside, their continuous battery life of just under 28 hours is enough to get you through long days on the go, and you can use them passively in a pinch. They're well-built and have a comfortable fit suitable for long listening sessions. Their default sound profile also delivers extra thump, rumble, and boom while vocals and instruments are crisp.

Things like walls will get in the way of the signal – so be warned – if you need your audio continuous, ensure the device you use is within grabbing distance. Audio tests However, when walking around, I did notice these did something that neither the Flying Tiger earbuds nor Skullcandy Dime ones did… they started falling out when walking. As usual, your mileage will vary with the joy of Bluetooth. On the few calls I tested with people (both video and voice), the audio quality was clear enough to be understandable to the person on the other end of the line, Good enough for the price. And no software too. The Soundcore Life P2i has a bassy and warm sound that becomes more entertaining when you turn the volume up.

How good is the battery on the Anker Soundcore Life P2?

The sound quality changes the game here for both earbuds. Soundcore Life P2 mini here has a better sound profile being a little pricier. It doesn’t have the same amount of bass as some of its other siblings, but it still provides a pleasant, warm, and bassy sound that becomes even better as the volume is increased. They do not have ANC but have a clear sufficient amount of noise. If we talk of clarity and accuracy, these are even more accurate and do not pretend like entry-level earbuds. IPX5-Rated: A water-resistant rating of IPX5 means these earbuds can withstand sweat, rain, and water splashes from any direction. Dual EQ Modes: Bass Mode gives you the thump and rumble that’s great for music listening. Switch to Podcast Mode to highlight clear vocals in spoken-word audio. Given the price, we wouldn’t deign to expect Active Noise Cancellation, but we found that the passive noise cancellation was able to keep enough of the outside world at bay without removing one from it entirely. We found passing ambulances, for example, perfectly audible, but the rumble of nearby traffic difficult to make out. Verdict

The list is published on YouTube, but we’ve chosen some highlights from it. As well as a few new items that are joining the testing party. Recent headphones from this manufacturer have an adjustable noise cancelling system that offers excellent overall performance. Their noise isolation performance nearly rivals high-end brands like Bose and Sony. This song is… well can be best filed, “I spend too much time in hipster coffee shops drinking V60s”. The base is a nice punch, however, the instruments and voice are a little tinny at the top ends. We've replaced the Anker SoundCore Life P3 Truly Wireless with the Anker Soundcore Space A40 Truly Wireless. We've also replaced the Anker Soundcore Life Q30 Wireless with the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless. We've added brand comparisons as well, in addition to expanding the lineup information.
