There are 3 modes of operation: (1) Fan auto mode; (2) Night mode and (3) Eco mode. Our product software uses sensors to intelligently control the Instant™ Air Purifier. One sensor constantly monitors and reports air quality. Another sensor monitors ambient light. Your air purifier is designed for ongoing use, and is safe to keep running all the time when you are home regularly. Based on testing of SARS-CoV-2 conducted in laboratory conditions, using a 13 cubic foot chamber to protect scientists from exposure. Not proven to prevent COVID-19. Performance was measured after 10 air exchanges passing through the air purifier operating at its minimum fan speed and with plasma ion technology on. Actual results may vary, depending on usage environment (temperature, humidity, room size and shape, nature and number of particulates in air, etc.), placement of the unit, and product usage (operation duration, operation mode, etc.). Best results with continuous use. Touch the power button to turn the unit on. The unit powers up, measures the room's air quality (as it does, it counts down for 30 seconds), and begins cleaning the air. The only thing I don’t like about this Instant air purifier is that it doesn’t have a pre-filter. A pre-filter typically aids in the trapping of large particles and hair, not only improving overall air quality but also preventing other filters such as the HEPA and activated carbon filtration layer from wearing out hastily.
In Auto operation, your air purifier uses plasma ion technology. Although it sounds high tech (and it is) it's safe and natural. Plasma ion operation is automatically turned off during Night Mode.
