All fins removable: On the Bluefin Cruise 2020, all three fins are removable. On the previous model, however, you could only remove the main fin. This makes transport easier and different fin setups can now be tested. All-rounders offer a secure footing and the rounded shape makes them maneuverable. On longer tours, however, the majority of the time is only paddled straight ahead. This calls for boards that brake less and offer better directional stability. Better Paddle: The paddle that comes with the Bluefin Cruise 2020 has a new design and also comes in at a lighter weight. I’ll take a closer look, but at first glance, the Bluefin Cruise 2020 paddle looks like the SUP paddle that comes with the Bluefin Cruise Carbon.

There are three handles on the Bluefin 10’8’’ Cruise, making it really easy to transport it and carry it to the water once inflated. Use the center handle to lift the board by yourself, or get a friend or someone else to help you by using the tandem nose and tail handles. These handles are very cushy to hold, thanks to the neoprene covers used to protect the handles. Neoprene protects against fraying, but it also prevents your hands from developing blisters or otherwise getting irritated when held with soaking wet or freezing cold fingers. All in all, this is a great handle setup, and one we hope Bluefin will continue to use in their paddleboards. D-Rings/Bungees/Cargo Areas

The board can hold a much higher pressure than other paddleboards at a similar price, which makes it far more solid than other low to mid-range inflatables. Being able to withstand a huge 28PSI gives the board more rigidity and stiffness. On the water this will help the board feel stable, more manoeuvrable and be able to withstand chop without feeling like a bouncy castle. Design and Colors: New series, new look! In addition to an overall revised design, there are now even an incredible 6 different colors! The included paddle is very suitable for beginners as well as advanced paddlers. Other manufacturers only include an aluminum paddle with their boards, which is heavy, doesn’t last long and sometimes doesn’t even float. With the Bluefin Cruise, the story is quite different. River exploration! The 10’8’’ Cruise does take a bit of work to turn, but if you have experience consider paddling on a friendly river for a fun, new experience. In terms of workmanship, Bluefin boards play in the top league. For a reasonable price, you get a high-quality board with the Bluefin Cruise (including extensive accessories). The Cruise is also very durable. There are three main differences between the (normal) Bluefin Cruise and the Bluefin Cruise Carbon. First, the accessories are different. The Carbon version comes with a carbon paddle instead of the fiberglass one. And the double-action pump has been upgraded to a triple-action pump.

SUP Board Specs

Cruising boards are characterized by the combination of a touring shape with a pointed nose as well as a straight tail and allrounder dimensions. Due to this middle ground, they convince with a good basic stability and yet better gliding properties. Actioncam Mount: The mount allows you to attach a GoPro or other action camera to the front of the board. In addition, the action cam mount is protected with a rubber. Is it the best inflatable paddle board on the market? No. Is it surprisingly good for the cost? Absolutely. Their electric pump was easy and simple to use, and helped get the board started whilst I was faffing around getting changed. It’s not the most powerful electric pump but did OK. In addition to the already mentioned innovations, the design of the Bluefin Cruise 2022 boards has also contained a complete fresh cell cure and now comes across very modern. For some professionals cruising boards are nothing half and nothing whole…we completely disagree! For more ambitious beginners and paddlers who want or need to leave it at a single board, there are simply hardly more versatile models. Second, the Bluefin Cruise Carbon has an additional separate air chamber. In the event of a serious accident where one air chamber is damaged, the other would be able to keep the board afloat on its own.Both the 10’8 and 12ft Bluefin Cruise are 82cm wide, which is pretty normal for an all-round beginner board. I like that Bluefin didn’t make the 12ft wider, because it would really affect its performance on the water and wouldn’t be fun to use. The pump has a clear pressure gauge as you can see on my picture below. It goes up to 21 PSI, which is a bit strange since the board should be able to take up to 28 PSI. But since 15-18 PSI is recommended and stiff enough I don’t think this will be a problem. (If you are actually inflating this to 28 PSI I want to see a video of how long it takes you :-P!)

The load capacity of the boards is 130 kilograms for the 325 cm long Cruise 10’8 and 140 kilograms for the 366 cm long Bluefin Cruise 12, which means that even heavy paddlers, large paddlers, a paddler with a child or two (light) paddlers can ride on the Bluefin boards at the same time.
