So I’m not mad at it – I’ve seen worse, but I’ve also seen better. What I do love however is that each shade family (from light to deep) is available in a range of undertones including cool, neutral, warm and olive. If you have very dry skin, you might find that this product is a bit drying. Again, this isn’t an issue that everyone will face, but we have noticed that this is an issue for some. Therefore, we recommend testing out the product first before completely diving in with it. How to Use NYX Born to Glow Foundation

There’s no information on this product that states that it’s non-comedogenic. That means it could potentially clog your pores. If you have acne-prone skin or very sensitive skin, you might want to test out this foundation first. It is a lower-end product, so it’s a “you get what you pay for” type of thing. If you are someone who struggles with skin issues, you may have to opt for pricier foundations that are you know won’t irritate your skin. Drying to the skin Discovering your perfect foundation is pretty much the makeup equivalent of finding your soulmate. It’s a long game of trial and error. Throw into the mix a complexion that's drier than the Sahara desert, and finding a foundation that stays looking dewy can feel near impossible. If your skin’s drier than my sex life, you need to get your hands on this foundation from Kosas. The liquid consistency gives the same energy as my fave serum formulas, making it feel weightless and hydrating. It blends like an absolute dream and leaves a stunning luminosity that looks second-skin-esque. Some people swear by a powder foundation, and we get it. That’s why we’ve added this alternative to the foundation mentioned above. This product comes as a pressed powder and offers a smooth, matte finish. You’ll get a flawless appearance without getting a” cakey face.As beauty editors, testing dozens of foundations comes with the job — but rarely do we find ones with a texture that lets us eliminate another product in our routine. We’re talking about glowy foundations here — ones that promise to keep our skin looking fresh and balmy and allow us to leave our highlighters behind our beauty cabinet doors. To see if the new NYX Professional Makeup Born To Glow! Naturally Radiant Foundation was up to the job, four Makeup.com editors put the product, which comes in 45 shades, promises to even out skin tone, provide medium coverage and leave a naturally luminous finish, to the test. Here’s what happened.

The variety of NYX foundations ranges from fundamental products to more “intentional” products. Essentially, if you have normal skin that isn’t sensitive, you can get away with using one of their very basic foundations. On the other hand, they have other products within their foundation line that are specifically designed for sensitive skin. They’re vegan and don’t include harsh ingredients. By understanding your skin, you’ll know exactly which product to opt for. We recommend thoroughly reading the details of each foundation before making a decision. Get the Right Color Coverage: The coverage is light, but it still effectively evens skin tone and areas of redness while giving a healthy radiance boost. I have worked my way through many foundation bottles and this one has remained a firm favourite. With just a few light taps of a beauty sponge, it completely blurs your complexion and leaves a fresh finish without looking cake face-y. (Yep, dreamy). And as the name may hint, the foundation contains some great hydrating ingredients – there's hyaluronic acid and squalane to name a few.It also has to be a breeze to apply. Overzealous blending can aggravate your skin and make dry patches more noticeable, so a formula that is both blendable and buildable (harder to find than it sounds) is key. Coverage: It’s lightweight enough that one layer will even your complexion, but you can easily dial it up to create a full-coverage finish. Either way, you’re always left with radiant, dewy skin. I would categorize this as a rich and creamy formula. It feels more like a heavy moisturizer than a foundatio when this goes on initially. It blends in beautifully and the shade is also a great match for me as you will see in a picture below. This foundation is one where I feel you can manipulate it a bit more than others. You can wear it full on medium coverage if you’d like but you could also just use a bit less product and it sheers out beautifully. I have worn it both ways and it works quite well. The only downside here? Longevity. This sadly doesn’t last very long. It adheres to texture and dry patches quite badly after a few hours and I have also experienced this fading and looking patchy as it didn’t stay put. It rubs off quite easily. What is the coverage like?
