About this deal
The above-listed recording times are approximate. Times may be slightly shorter depending on the number of songs that were created. You can do live recording of work also with decent sound quality letting you hear how your band or yourself are playing. It's easy to use, with well laid out menus with enter and exit prompts so you don't inadvertently dump anything you wanted to keep, a multitude of boss effects and if you use a large memory card you can put whole catalogues of work through it. In addition to being able to plug in your guitar, keyboards and dynamic microphones, the BR-80 also features a set of stereo condenser microphones, which means that you're always ready to record. They work especially well with acoustic guitars and vocals. The MICRO BR BR-80’s jam-along eBand feature is almost too much fun, but that’s not all it is. It’s also a great practice and performing tool. This booklet takes you to the next level with eBand. Many functions for extracting listening and practicing solos (Tempo Shift, Pitch Shift, Center Canceller etc.)
A feature commonly found in BOSS Multi FX pedals, the COSM sound engine accurately recreates the sound of classic guitar amps, cabinets and effects. This not only makes it easy to get a great recording out of the BR-80, but it also makes it a great practice tool. eBand mode gives you ultra-useful practice tools, such as tempo adjustment and center-channel cancellation (to remove pre-recorded vocals and guitar solos)

It also has a great training / play along facility where you can edit out the parts you want to learn / practice and it includes software to allow detailed mastering of your work. Awesome item however, this is a typical BOSS tech, the screen layout is basic and dot matrix like an item from the 1980s. The processor is slow, laggy and not as snappy and responsive as one would expect. The build quality feels nice, but is actually very cheap. The frame is plastic and uses thin aluminium tin covers which actually just cover a plastic case. The jog wheel is NOT smooth to turn, it is grainy to turn, flimsy, buttons are hard to press especially if you have large fingers. eBand function for practicing and jamming: Large library of built-in monitoring and rhythm patterns All in all, this unit enables something that previously was not possible, but clearly it is a device that requires you to be fiddling with it to get it right. It causes a hindrance to our playing more than a benefit however, for basic on the go easy practising without having to carry amps and excessive kit around it works well.

Simple things like Bluetooth, ability to charge NIMH AA batteries and feather touch buttons or digital control for the input gain and output volume. The hardware potentiometers are hard to adjust when you need to with guitar in hand, plectrum in hand etc.
