About this deal

I honestly can't believe that this a debut novel! The writing was effortless and just allowed you to flow seemlessly through the story. I was very impressed and will certainly be looking out for more from Penelope Douglas.

Jax OMG!!!!He is amazing!!!I need his book now!!!!If you loved Bully and Until You then you definately love this one!!!

There is so much slut-shaming, woman-shaming and obsessing over virginity in this book. For Tate, her virginity is a gift-wrapped present to be given to the one most deserving, while having sex with multiple guys is shameful. This quote is a particular favourite of mine: "I'd been called a bitch before, and it didn't hurt the way being called a slut did. Being a bitch could be a survival technique. They get respect. There was no honor in people thinking you were a slut." Reading that was a bit like dying a painful, anti-feminist death. OMG can't wait ....love soo much this type of storylines with angst, character knowing each other since childhood, sexual tension, the game of seduction, who's going to succumb first. The familiar pounding in my chest echoed in my ears, and a hundred miles away sounded like a really nice place to be right now.

Why is she still standing here?” the blonde sitting on Jared’s lap asked. “Is she like “special” or something? She can’t take the hint?”Pero ya me he cansado de esconderme y no pienso consentir que me arruine también el último año. Puede que él no haya cambiado, pero yo sí. Ha llegado el momento de luchar. absent parents once again appear in Rival. Makes writing a story easier I suppose in both Bully and Rival.

Also, I felt that the "aha" epiphany moment where they realize they love each other just wasn't as seamless and clearly done as it was in Bully. Yes, I realize that this is a different book, but it's impossible not to compare the two. Now, I know bullying is a serious and highly sensitive issue. And I'm not downplaying that or tying to make light of that. This was a game to Madoc- but it was a war to me.
Madoc and Fallon hate to love each other, and love to hate each other. There are a lot of secrets and miscommunications that got them to the point they’re at today. They were essentially torn apart by lies, by their family betraying them in the worst way. Now that some of the secrets are out… will they be able to be together? Just them? No games, no hate, none of the other stuff that was pulling them apart? Or will this rivalry between them stay put?Bully" was one of my favorite books because of the way Penelope delivered such a beautiful love story and adding a twist in it. The way it confuses you and makes you question if you are actually reading a love story when obviously it is one is intriguing and made me admire her deeply. Not everybody can pull off such an amazing technique.
