About this deal

One area I didn’t enjoy was the long section on trapping. I’ve never liked traps due to their indiscriminatory nature. (Despite the author’s protest that you can weight the springs differently or use a variety of baits to target specific animals – I wasn’t sold.) I think they’re quite cruel and I didn’t want to read too deeply into it. But if this is something that interests you, the section is as well written and diagramed as the rest. SAS Survival Handbook, Third Edition: The Ultimate Guide to Surviving Anywhere SAS Survival Handbook The topic of the book is vast and has many folds. It talks about the necessary survival skills like reading the weather, essential kit tools, and necessary preparations. The book also has topics related to making camps. This includes finding the right place for the camp, building a protected shelter, making tools, staying warm, etc. The first aid guide is also available in case of an emergency along with a Food guide, where he tells about the food to eat and things to avoid.

It is the ultimate book of survival and has got everything covered for you. It is the best and most comprehensive survival book we recommend. For keeping up with the latest technologies, this book is revised and now contains all the latest tech and solutions to more dangerous scenarios of modern times.FEMA – Protection In The Nuclear AgeGovernment sponsored book that came out many years ago on the topic of surviving a nuclear war. Provides lots of information on fallout and the inherent dangers of nuclear weapons. In his book Bushcraft 101, he isn’t just telling us about how to survive in the wild, but he has also written about Bushcraft art. It will allow you to connect with nature on a deeper level. The best way to learn survival skills is from experienced teachers, in person. All over the world you can find survival courses that teach students how to shelter, hunt, purify drinking water, defend themselves, grow a garden and more. Although you can learn a lot from books and videos, when the subject matter can mean life or death, you want to be certain that you aren’t missing a detail or nuance that might’ve not been correctly conveyed in a book. This book has everything you will require to survive for a small period or even long term. This book tells you about how to be prepared for any situation, and it also has a history of traditional ways people lived in the wild if that’s what you’re interested in.. With Canterbury's guidance, you'll not only prepare yourself for any climate and situation, you'll also learn how to use the art of bushcraft to reconnect with nature in ways you've never imagined.

Nuclear War Survival Skills–Excellent book describing the means by which to prepare for a nuclear war – especially with expedient and low cost methods. The subject of this copy is to give you knowledge about the right items for your kits, how you can manufacture the tools needed, how to collect and make food, and how to protect yourself. This book would bind you with nature and help you in forming an actual connection to it. The topics that are mentioned are discussed in detail in the book and give you accurate know-how. It also has full-color pictures to guide you further and give you clear cut knowledge about surviving in the wild. Thirdly, it talks about the things necessary for a longer wilderness living like a year. This includes traditional techniques used by the ancestors to survive like food storage, natural navigation, wild medication, etc. The book I read was Bushcraft 101: A Field Guide to the Art of Wilderness Survival written by Dave Canterbury. Dave Canterbury is a self-reliance expert and survivalist in the outdoors, Dave Canterbury is also the co-owner of one of the top 12 survival schools in the United States. This book comes from many other books written by Dave Canterbury about survival in the outdoors, this is probably the best one for beginners in bushcraft. This book is a great starting point for beginners in bushcraft like me because it goes over the basic knowledge you need to have for bushcraft. Sound information and best practices on maintaining hygiene and sanitationin a disaster scenario. PDFs on Knot Tying (16)

Customer reviews

It is a great survival book written by a great author known for opening one of the top 12 survival schools in America. The writer, Canterbury, has done an excellent job of providing a guide for survival. Like is often talked about, water is liquid life. Learn to store it, filter and purify it, harvest rainwater, and if possible, secure your own renewable source of water, such as a well or a reliable source of topwater.
