About this deal

The rotating brush makes it ideal for carpets and cleaning pet hair. And 30 minutes of run time is more than enough time for most cleaning jobs.

Roidmi started in 2015 in China and is still little-known in the UK, although its models are sold by big names like Harrods. It markets itself on innovation, and this combined vacuum and steam mop is a perfect example. Shark DuoClean Cordless Upright Liftaway canister with long flexible hose, dual-brush bar floorhead, LED headlights, carpet and hard floor models, self-standing.The Bosch Athlet is ideal for larger homes, not only because of the long battery time but also because it has a large dust canister. At .9 litres it won’t need to be emptied mid cleanup. In fact, you may get several sessions out of it before it needs to be emptied. The rotating brush is removable for an easy clean as well. Nice to have when you’re cleaning up pet hair. It performed exceptionally well on hard floors and carpets alike, and it has a handy illuminated floor head and hardy brush mode that made light work of leeching dust and debris from my rugs. At 3.1kg, it’s a touch heavier than some of the other models on this list, but still plenty light enough to use for cleaning surfaces and corners as a handheld device. While 60 minutes might sound like a lot, some people might need more. And though the battery can be swapped out to double your runtime, that will cost you extra - making an already eye-wateringly expensive vacuum cleaner even pricier. When you’re on a budget you have to accept that you’re not going to get as good a product. Not necessarily a bad product, but certainly not as good. During testing, our Ecommerce Editor Molly found this vacuum to be a super reliable choice. The design was endearing and impressive and will speak to fans of the usual happy-faced Henry vacs that we all know and love. Standout features included just how easy this was vacuum to use, with a two-button control panel, and LED lights that help with cleaning in the evenings. If you love Henry but are a little apprehensive to make the move to a cordless model, this vacuum makes a great place to start.

And it does an OK job on carpets if you have some carpet or rugs but it’s definitely better for hard floor cleaning.

Includes free toolkit

It converts to a handheld in a snap with the push of a button. And it weighs only slightly more than 1 kg. At 20 minutes runtime that should be more than enough time to hoover out the car. There is the cordless Henry for cylinder vacuum lovers, and for the upright fans that want to go cordless, there is the Vac Air Cordless Lift. If you’re looking for powerful cleaning and the most hassle-free vacuum cleaner then this is the one for you, long run time, free-standing and no untangling hair. The ease of use is unmatched.

The downside is that it averages 25 minutes for battery runtime. That may be enough for many people. If you have a small flat or like to do frequent cleanups, then this could be your ideal solution. This is a fantastic choice for cleaning up hard floors, it’s got a downward suction technology that stops you from blowing what you’re trying to vacuum up away.

It’s very manoeuvrable and easy to use. It’s 4kg so it isn’t the lightest model, but that is still a fairly lightweight vacuum. Though if you prefer a bagless vacuum you might be disappointed in needing to buy bags, the fact is you won’t be buying them often. The cordless Henry boasts a mighty 9 litres of cylinder for dust. The verdict on this cordless vacuum is that you would need to spend much more to get the quality cleaning power and extra features. If you’re on a budget you needn’t sacrifice with this economical cordless hoover.
