About this deal

To use a Selectip refill, follow the instructions we covered earlier for replacing a Selectip gel refill. 7.1. Cross Selectip Jumbo Ballpoint Refill Ink Colors and Tip Sizes The Cross mini ballpoint pen refill is a standard D1 refill that can be used in any brand of pens that take a D1 refill. Made specifically to fit Cross pens that take the classic refill, this pressurized refill by fisher gives you all the benefits of writing with a space pen.

Monteverde makes a medium and broad alternative refill for Cross ballpoint pens. It is a metal refill with a color-coded screw-threaded plastic adapter that screws into the barrel of the ballpoint in exactly the same way that genuine Cross refills do. But the difference* (not really noticeable) among those refills is nothing compared to a gel refill like the one you're referring to. Unfortunately, there aren't Cross gel refills available. It appears that some Cross refills are rebranded as Sheaffer and not the other way round; as in the Sheaffer catalogs, the product codes start with an 8 and are appended SH. These are made by the U.S based manufacturer Monteverde and the German specialist refill manufacturing company Schmidt and Fisher Space Pens supply a pressurized Cross refill. Monteverde Alternative Cross Classic Ballpoint Pen Refills

Cross ink converters are a bespoke size and cannot be used in any fountain pen manufactured by another brand.

Cross Selectip refills will also fit older Sheaffer pens that used to use the same refill known as the Sheaffer C Style refill. This can be a little confusing as Cross Select tip Jumbo ballpoint pens are designed to fit Cross Selectip rollerball pens and do not fit any Cross ballpoint pen.At the time of writing this, Cross makes three different Selectip refills, a gel rollerball, jumbo ballpoint, and a porous point fineliner. These are not interchangeable, as one pushes into the front-end section of the pen and the other screws into a threaded section of the front end of the pen. Nearly all Cross manufactured products have codes that start with an 8, and nearly all Sheaffer manufactured products have codes that start with a 9. Sailor Color of Four Season Ink Bottles - Yama Dori, Shigure, Souten, Oku Yama, Miruai, Doyou, Tokiwa, Nioi Sumire, Waka Uguisu, Sakura Mori, Fuji Musume, Rikyu-Cha, Kin-Mokusei, Chu-Shu, Irori, Yuki Akari, AT Cross bought Sheaffer in August 2014 for a cheeky little 15 million US Dollars, so it is natural that over the years, there has been some crossover in making and using refills.

It is possible that this may be true as some companies specialize in making a product and then rebrand them for sale by other companies. Hold the upper part of the barrel in one hand and the lower part with the other, then twist the barrel to unscrew it from the lower front section. They can be used to refill any 0.5mm mechanical pencil and are supplied in a tube containing 15 leads. Cross 0.7mm Lead Refills – 8742 Cross-fountain pen ink is not harmful to pens and can be used in any fountain pen with an ink convertor fitted that enables bottled ink.The Cross Switch it pencil converter is a neat little gadget that can turn a Cross ballpoint pen fitted with a Cross Classic refill into a mechanical pencil. The converter is a piston fill converter; to use it, simply dip the nib into the bottle of ink and then turn the screw at the end, drawing the ink into the converter’s reservoir. The Cross Push in Style Ink Converter fits the Following Fountain Pens: The great thing about Cross Selectip pens is that even though they have a traditional rollerball fitted, they can be swapped out for a different type of Selectip refill.

To fit the Cross push-in style fountain pen converter, unscrew the barrel of the pen and, as the name suggests, push the converter firmly into the front-end section that contains the nib. Monteverde Gemstone Ink Bottles (30ml) - Sapphire, Charoite, Amethyst, Garnet, Ruby, Fireopal, Topaz, Moonstone, Olivine, Erinite A few years ago, members of the Fountain Pen Network suggested that the German Stationery manufacturer Pelikan make the bottled ink for Cross. Two differences I've noticed so far: the Cross brand and the PR refills react quite immediately and seem to last longer than the kits refills.Cross Selectip gel rollerball refills use Cross Selectip technology which is just a fancy way of saying that the refill can be swapped out for a different type of Selectip refill.
