About this deal

Also note that, before Miller came along, the Daredevil comic was floundering on the edge of cancellation. Not only did Miller re-invent horn head, he literally saved his very existence. Around this time Daredevil makes guest appearances in New Avengers #31-34 (mostly a non-speaking participant), Superior Spider-Man Team-Up #1, Trial of The Punisher #2, Deadpool Annual 1, Avengers A.I. #7, Superior Spider-Man Team-Up #9-10, and Superior Foes of Spider-Man #9-10.

I do not like Heather Glenn, and I do not like the direction Matt went when he was with her. I'd much rather have Frank Miller break up Matt and Heather permanently than have this on again off again dynamic. It's what irritated me most about Karen and Matt. This relationship is just a repeat of that. Shame, when Elektra is right there. Collects (1998) #82-105. Reprinted in 2017 as 978-1302905088. Reprinted in 2022 as 978-1302945510. ( digital) While the first few stories here showcase a more fun side of Daredevil and some cool moments with the hulk, they feel very typical superheroish. Then we get into Frank Miller's world and right away he sets up Elektra in such a intriguing way. A woman who once loved Matt, and he loved her, swallowed by grief and rage goes down a much darker path than Matt. Still, inside her, you can tell she loves him. This book had some comedic moments, mostly with Turk. It was a nice way to break up the darkness of this. Also released as a limited edition hardcover which included the #1/2 issue and a CD-Rom with additional content (including the #0 issue).

HAWKEYE BY FRACTION & AJA OMNIBUS [NEW PRINTING] Coming November 2023

I don't think I've ever seen Matt so grim...so cold-blooded. He's changed. He's not the same man I used to know." I won't spoil anything despite this being old but the amount of world building, chaos, and sadness this book contains is awesome. Even if the middle is near perfection I still think the ending of this Omnibus holds up extremely well too. Getting close to the end Matt becomes more joking, but not over the top, and it's refreshing. The fights can be brutal as hell, but also over the top and silly like Stiltman fight. The very last issue too is great, and a good deconstruction on superheroes.

There's a one off return with a silent Matt Murdoch getting revenge in a small NJ town. Then the acclaimed .

Razor Fist has got to be one of the stupidest characters created. He replaced both of his hands with razor blades? Really? How's he going to change his clothes? How does he go to the bathroom? How does he wipe himself if he has to defecate? How does he feed himself food, let alone drink out of a glass? He is a stupid character who, no doubt, somebody thought would at least look "really cool" and imposing and "dangerous" having replaced his hands with razor blades. Somebody did not think that character through when they designed him. Daredevil #182-191; material from Elektra Saga #1-4 and Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe(1983).

The Story can be good but if the art is lousy it will impair the ability of the writer to fully communicate their message.
