I would absolutely recommend this book as an entry point to Will's books. I would also recommend searching up the information he adds at the beginning of each chapter. There is some seriously shady sh1t that has happened in the past and Will does a great job of highlighting that. Anthrax Island and the pass in the Urals so central to the story. In other words, The Drinker takes a character that's considered broken, and "fixes" that character in the context of the story itself to make the character more in line with how the character should be portrayed, either consistent with their past portrayal or to make an already bland character interesting. First, the Drinker assesses the flaws of the character, and then analyzes what established traits can be used as the basis to repair them, before presenting his new and improved version of the character in a rewrite of the story they're in. It's a creative exercise to show how much better these characters could be done in competent hands. Es una novela entretenida y no busca nada más que eso: entretener y atrapar. Si alguien busca alta literatura siempre tiene el “Ulises” de James Joyce. La narración tiene mucho de película de acción, con tiroteos, persecuciones, malos malísimos, y viajes a lugares exóticos. Conforme avanzamos los capítulos se van haciendo más cortos, más rápidos, para transmitir la tensión de una cuenta atrás que los protagonistas tienen que parar.
